   anyone know a software for this?
   
   itunes or toast doesn't normalize volumes.

   You need to specify Soundcheck in the playback preferences.
   
   If that's not good enough, try a program called iVolume.

   soundcheck is on and i tried ivolume. these seem to work only for playback on the ipod and itunes.
   
   but when a mp3 cd is burned, volumes are all different per track.
