I'd like to start this thread with PC Games you would like to have played on your Mac but couldn't.

I just passed by Data Blitz and what fun it is to finally be able to look at the PC Game shelves again and not have to mull over the puny Mac Games selections.

I've also realized how much CHEAPER PC games are so I didn't hesitate and got myself Star Wars K.O.T.O.R Sith Lords!

Thanks to Apple for the Boot Camp!

Until that durned MacBook comes out of the pipeline to replace my PowerBook 12", I've been doing all my gaming on a real PC desktop ... but I'm excited to play them on a portable!

The games in heavy rotation on my PC right now:

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (beautiful graphics)
    rFactor
    GTR
F.E.A.R. (can never get around to finishing this game, though)
Battlefield 2 (I had a four or five month obsession with this game and then quit it cold turkey ... will probably get back to it once it's on BootCamp)

and of course, the one, the only, the incomparable World of Warcraft (although I play this on both my PC and my PowerBook).

Half Life 2 and LOTR Battle of Middle Earth. I missed that games so much.

Question to WoW players - how did you guys setup your accounts? I couldn't work around the billing info page since I don't have a US address... :(

Just a bit of WoW trivia - in one of the pinoy forums that I frequent, a guy there said that he worked as a WoW GM for the korean servers and their office is somewhere in Ortigas. Blizzard is actually outsourcing their GM duties to us Pinoys! ;) I just hope that Blizzard opens an official Philippine WoW server.

Anyway, if you plan on playing your old DOS games under windows, VDMSound is a neat little utility for making them work.

I'm still playing games on my PowerPC. Quake 4 (probably a PC port - barely playable at 640x480) and Warcraft 3: ROC.

    Present!!!

Games that I installed and played on my MBP.

LOTR: Battle for Middle Earth 2 (Collectors Ed.)
    - max video settings but doesn't support wide screen displays so the image is stretched out.

Half Life 2 / Counter Strike Source / DoD - Steam Account (Online)
    - max settings but AA setting is off for the game to run smoothly

Battlefield 2 with Booster Pack (Euro Force) - Online Gaming
    - max settings, AA 2x enabled no problems.

Will try out Oblivion soon since I only have limited space on my windows partition (15GB)

    @Babynino:

Dude, in LOTR:BME, is the video stretched the whole game? or just in cinematics?

The movie parts are ok with the widescreen MBP, the whole game is stretched since the game doesn't support widescreen resolutions :slanted:

Already installed and tested Oblivion last night, and since I already got a 2GB ram I maxed all settings, widescreen resolution (1440x900) supported :)

Though I have to decrease the resolution to have a more comfortable game play :)

    Ganda talaga ng graphics

Empire Earth played great on the mini. Its one of the games I wished got ported to the Mac. But I spent the better half of yesterday playing Battle for Middle Earth II. Its very playable at 1280x1024.

Yes raygun, actually I play CS:Source, Half Life 2, Battlefield 2, DoD, etc. mostly online. No problems as long as you have a good internet connection ;)

Unfortunately there is no Mac OS X version for CS:Source and playing FPS games such as CS will not be playable under emulation (Virtual PC) :slanted:
