What's the best web browser? Safari, Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox?

I've tried all but settled with Safari mainly because of its elegance and stability. I posted a short blog here.

I use Chrome simply because it's cleaner and I think faster...

I alternate between Chrome and Firefox.

When I tether from my phone and use my school's Wi-Fi connection, I go with Chrome. Firefox tends to beach ball on me whenever the connection is kind of sluggish. I generally prefer Chrome just for browsing, no downloading.

At home, or when I'm connected to a relatively fast network, I use Firefox. I use the add-on DownThemAll! and I don't think there's a Chrome-compatible plug-in yet. Also, I've been using Firefox since my Windows days, so I'm used to all the shortcuts and stuff.

I can't get used to Safari as I often use the Command+number shortcut to switch between tabs, on Safari this just opens some of your bookmarks. I have yet to find a way to customize this.

......have you tried the latest version of Opera? It is fast.

Personally, I just stick with Safari on my MBA (simple, stable and fast enough) and IE 8 (integrated well with Windows 7 and in private mode is a rock-solid barrier against pesky virus/cookies etc.) for my PCs. They're good enough.

I use Safari (with ClickToFlash and Glims installed) mainly, with Firefox as backup. Tried Chrome for a while, but too many missing features. Will give it another go when a newer beta version with more features comes out.

Whichever browser you choose, make sure to also check out 1Password. I can't imagine using any browser without it.

While there are numbers to show one is faster at doing certain things, for me, they are all the same. It is just a personal preference with regards to "features". I don'ot particularly notice one browser being better than the other. Just to keep things Apple, I still use Safari.

    Plain Browsing: Google Chrome

    Functionality and Downloading: Firefox
Example: In a long paginated list, I can view all the list in firefox without having to click the 'next' link. Cool huh?

If you're a web developer/programmer like me then you will notice which browser is better.

In my case with an OS 10.5.8 it's the Firefox kasi it allows you to open apps on the page that Safari doesn't. Kaya even though the OS comes with Safari I've rarely used it.

I never noticed the functionality in downloading versus the viewing capabilities. But now I'll make a note to take note.

Yikes, brings back memories too! IE is the worst browser in all of history. too many bugs.

If you're not into technicals, and you just want to surf, I strongly suggest Chrome. Feature-wise, it isn't that heavy, which makes it simple to use and perfect for me.
