^Sorry, I hope I didn't sound like I was being nitpicky or something. I had friends who complained that they couldn't find Snack Shack in the UP coop area so I thought that the UP Post Office would be a better reference. When they ask some of the xerox manongs there, they were told that there's no such shop. :(

My friends and I enjoy ribs from RUB in Tomas Morato. Less than 700php with two side dishes. Ribs serving is good for 2 to 3 persons :)

Best ribs for me is Big Daddy Jay's near the Caltex station in P. Tuazon in Cubao. The taste of their ribs is something that'll make you come back for more.

Best: absolutely divine Brisket! Ang sarap ng taba.
Next best: Burnt Ends (brisket that has burnt edges).
No like: Ribs (it is not fall-off-the-bones ribs that I love but ribs that had a firm "bite" to the meat. Of the 3, the ribs had the most intense smoked flavor).

Now about the house BBQ sauce (slow smoked BBQ), I swear I can drink an entire bottle. Really delicious. The veggie sides are okay. The lightly pickled cucumber is a good palate cleanser in between bites. Need veggies to balance this carnivore feast.

Definitely going back after the holidays.

That looks awesome! I might try that Burnt Edges if I ever find myself in Megamall soon. Is this place still open? (I just noticed that post was over a year old).

But I'm getting kinda tired of BBQ sauce. I'm trying to avoid sweets kasi, LoL.

Sometimes it's nice to have just inihaw without the frills. Smoke grilled (with charred edges) beef ribs, then I'll just have toyomansi or local suka with crushed garlic as my dipping sauces. I'll gladly go home for that!

Any similar tips for Makati/Salcedo Village area?

Tried Mighty Quinn BBQ at Power Plant this evening. Agree with the above posts: the brisket is the best, even if the staff insist that the pork belly and the pulled pork are their bestsellers.

The brisket is soft, charred just right, and the fat is the best part.

After the brisket, next best meat (at leadt among the ones we tried) was the pulled pork. Soft, has a nice subtle flavor, and goes well with any of the two BBQ sauces (Original or Honey), as well as any of their sides.

The ribs were a mixed bag. On one hand, they weren't soft and fall-off-the-bone kind (they warn you about this fact right when you order, to be fair). But the good part about it is that if you want the ribs dry, they still have the right amount of flavor. If you want to add BBQ saucw, that's fine, too.

The pork belly was the worst of all the meats we tried. And to think this was supposed to be their bestseller. It was lacking in taste, a bit tough to chew, and the cuts were the smallest.

Overally, it's a nice welcome addition to the BBQ places in Rockwell.

Mm...glad MightyQ maintained the quality of their food, for the most part. Good sign.
