amigo, to avail of the BDO Visa 20% off promo, it would have to be a straight charge. and this promo as far as i've checked is applicable at all BTB branches (i've checked with the Uptown and Century City branches and they're participating). kindly call your preferred BTB branch prior to dropping by. i've also confirmed that should your preferred item which happens to be included in the promo not be available at the time of purchase, you may charge it in advance, akin to a pre-order, which seems like a good deal if you're not in a hurry to get a hold of it.
no prob amigo! and just in case one's BDO Visa credit limit is not enough to purchase your heart's desire, i've already called BDO Cards customer service and they've been kind enough to offer a temporary limit increase to accomodate your impending purchase. all one needs to do is call them (BDO Cards) in advance to advise them of said future purchase and the limit you will need to accomodate such to ensure the transaction goes through at the actual point of sale.
Adding to Pochiman's inputs, please make sure to clarify whether your credit card will be charged an Overlimit Fee or not. This is usually a system generated fee charged against the account for going "Over the Limit".
to qualify for the 20% discount, it would have to be a straight charge on your BDO Visa Classic/Gold/Platinum card amigo. it's best to time one's purchase immediately the Wednesday AFTER one's BDO Visa cut off so as to effectively give you nearly a 2-month leeway to pay off the straight charge in full. ^thanks Sabonis! yeah guys! kindly call BDO Card customer service to confirm if upon issuing a temporary credit limit increase to accomodate your purchase, how much the overlimit fee would be, in case there is any. in case there is, here's hoping it's more or less just around 5%, at which point everyone still comes out a winner since the discount is at 20%.
does it mean that the 20% BDO discount is still applied on top of the EOL item's new discounted SRP? For example, Time Capsule 2TB: 10,990 (EOL discount)-> 8,000 (BDO discount)-> 6,400?
sorry amigo, it ain't. you need to put it as a straight charge on your BDO Visa on a Wednesday (within the promo period) for you to get the 20% discount.
