I just got myself a Crumpler Customary Barge yesterday. MUCH more comfortable than my Tamrac Velocity 9 since its a backpack. Its a little bit bulky though, but you can remove the camera compartment if you don't plan to take your photography gear with you and use it as a regular backpack (which I plan on doing since my 2 month old Nat Geo bag was slashed by some thief last December 31 while I was asleep in a bus on my way home from work).

It fits all my gear in the camera compartment. A Canon 40D (with batt grip) with a Sigma 18-200 lens attached (hood reversed), 50mm f1.8 and a 580 ex ii. You can't close the zipper on the camera compartment completely since the flash unit is sticking out, but it should keep the camera and lenses in place.

Hi surotskie. Thank you. I went to digital walker earlier and they say they do not have stocks of the bigger bags...anyways, will try the other branches...

    Thanks again.

i think it goes for around 6k...

does it have a weather protection cover?

im choosing between this and the qpac bag kasi e

any reviews from owners of this case logic bag and the qpac laptop and photo backpack?

the one advantage i know is that the qpac retails much lower..but you have to pay cash

thanks to your recommendation, i just got myself this bag today (it was selling for 4K, though, at cyberzone SM north), just the right size, with configurable compartments inside, a padded laptop compartment for my macbook, lots of straps for little thingies, and looks very well made. just right for my D80 with the 18-200 and my 60mm micro and one or two point-and-shoots. (but who needs all of them?) i look forward to taking this on the road. thanks again!

I would recomend the Lowepro CompuTrekker AW if you have alot of equipment. It is a sturdy backpack with a lot of space to play with :D

I got myself a Crumpler 5MDH yesterday (second hand though). If you choose the right colors, they can be cute for us ladies. :)

But I have to agree that there are no camera bags that have flower prints on them or ruffles around the flaps, nor does Gucci make leather bags for cameras. Hehehe.

So we can do with Crumpler. :)

    Thanks, teachertwish.
Also, I saw some nice bags at sumdex website. Guess I'll have to drop by their store soon.

I'm looking for one of those old-school, 2 piece, leather cases for SLR's.

I don't know what they're called, but the older guys here would know what I'm talking about. The nearest equivalent are those leather cases that they have for Leica and Lumix LX# cameras.

Would any of you happen to know where I can find one of those leather cases for a Nikon D60? I have a trusty Tamrac bag that's pretty compact, but there are just times that I need to bring just my D60 and sling it over my shoulder. Those neoprene sleeves that fit our D60's don't offer much protection.

I think I saw one in Hidalgo last month, I can't remember what store though. The leather case fits the D40, but the saleslady said "D40 and 50mm lang po sir". It looks nice and old-school, the color was black for the over-cap and body case.

I know exactly what you're looking for godfather, my first slr, a yashica, had that leather case... unfortunately with the size of the zooms these days, they'd look a little, um, front heavy...

This sounds perfect! I plan to use this lang naman when I bring D60 + 50mm 1.8 lens.

Sayang it's in Hidalgo. I don't usually venture into the downtown area.

I hope to see it in a mall shop sana. Anyway, thanks for the tip RainbowSix, good to know such things exist locally.

    @ Rainbowsix - pictures!

I've swithced to using Mountainsmith producs now, I have the Aurora AT Lumbar pack and Borealis AT hybrid pack.

The Aurora AT holds my D700 and one lens, no flash, usually the camera and 28-70 f.28

The Borealis AT holds just about everything for me, Laptop, Camera and 3 lenses or 2 lenses and 1 flash, 2 days worth of clothes plus it has a built-in rain cover and it's light. It maybe pricey, but it's the best value for money that I've found.

Both of mine are black, they're available at Travel Club, but the complete line is available in R.O.X. Bonifacio High Street.

P.S. I just noticed that both my bags form the word Aurora Borealis (trust me it was unintentional) :D

I'm going to use it only when I have the snub nosed 50mm lens anyway, so that should be ok.

There are neoprene / soft rubber ones, but they're kind of awkward (perverse) looking. Mukhang naka brip. :p

Looks even more perverse for SLRs with longer lens :
