autocad for mac

    guys im switching from pc to mac and was wondering if they have any autocad programs for the mac.? and where can i get them? thanks

    hhmm, i'm pretty sure this has been asked before. try typing "autocad" in search field. hth.

    unfortunately, autodesk (autocad creator) does not have an autocad version that's compatible with mac. What I did is install boot camp so I'll have windows to run my autocad.

    you can also use edrawings just to view the cad files

    An excellent alternative would be TurboCAD 3D. Or, click here for all the other possible alternatives. And then there's Google SketchUp that comes in 2 flavors, free and Pro.

    if Maya 7.0 has its own Mac compatible apps, then for sure, AutoCAD has, too.

    Try VectorWorks. It's a 2D/3D AEC CAD software for Mac and Windows.

    the free one doesn't have the full capabilities of autocad, though.
