you should buy your songs you know. If you buy the authentic CD albums from music stores and having iTunes rip it, it is more likely that iTunes can find it's album artwork for you.

If you got it thru illegitimate ways, find other forums to find your album artwork. I hope you read the forum policies that piracy is not condoned here in PhilMUG.

Edit: thanks dakilang_waiter for correcting my typo, it's a sleepy afternoon here :)

I think you mean piracy is not condoned by PhilMUG.

I think Philmug has a ANTI PIRACY Rule.
just go to google and search the album of the song in images, then save the image on your desktop and drag the image to the small box on the left corner of itunes.

We pounce on a guy looking for music and Album Art yet we condone threads like this one:
    http://www.philmug.ph/forum/showthread.php?t=33842

The thread above are step by step instructions on 'cracking' a commercial software.

    With 'thanks' posts to boot.

There is also another similar thread for CameraPro for iPhone whose link now escapes my memory.

    Go figure.

So as not to be OT, I use Amazon to look for album cover. Local covers? I take my camera and snap a photo of the CD cover w/c I then edit for use w/ iTunes. For music, I go to Odyssey XL.

    Cheers!

i think that's why the mods/admins made a different forum (which is posted here) to avoid confusion on some of the rules they made. but still, a lot of people discuss hacking/cracking apps, especially all those iphone related, here in this forum..

anyway, to stay on topic, you could use GimmesomeTunes and configure it to open/launch with itunes. it will then automatically add album covers to your songs as you play them.

Just a correction randytamayo, it's the last sentence that I'm more particular about. Not with zen88's question about the artwork coverflow.

I think this is doing "community police" and there has been a grey area with anything iPhone here in PhilMUG - which I guess needs clarification. It helps for forum members to report policy violations rather than watch and wait for mods to stumble upon it.

PhilMUG is a very active forum and I think it is too much that the mods can't police every single thread without users help. I'm just doing this just so we can keep a healthy PhilMUG forum and not degenerate to those foras that has trolls, crackers and pirates that doesn't really contribute to the community.

Another way to look for album cover is via Google. Do a Google on the album title and click the images link (upper left) of the resulting page. Look for images 300px by 300px or bigger.

Coverscout is a good app to locate Album Artwork, it searches both google and amazon for album covers.

Another site i use to get cover art is allmusic.com if amazon does not have it available. sometimes you can check out amazon.co.uk if the album is released in Europe. There are also free widgets available for download that get album art.
