    anything can work.
MS Word, Powepoint, Pages, Publisher, Photoshop, Indesign, OpenOffice, Gimp.

depends on how tamad you can be in learning these apps, more tamad? go for simple word processing, not tamad? photoshop, illustrator, indesign, Quark (is this still around?)

I believe so, I remember trying this out a few weeks ago, but dumped it in favor of inDesign... familiarity kasi.

Although I highly favor Corel Draw, but they haven't made a mac version since Corel 11 all of 5 years ago!

Maybe you can try iWork since InDesign, Illustrator or Quark Xpress are more complex to use and its for hard core designs.

We use iWork Pages in making our flyers, brochures, newsletters, forms, and other documents.

If you're really interested, why don't you download the trial version first? :) It's good for 30 days.

Yeah, there is a Print Shop for Mac. Just search the web. I've been using it for the past 3 years.

Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign are the industry standards. If you intend to just print them out on your own desktop, iWork is good enough. But if your material/s will be submitted to a service bureau or intended for publication, use the industry standard softwares for compatibility. Almost all social printers accept jobs in pdf format.

This is a neat app for desktop publishing! Been using it since last year. Has a different set of templates from iWork that you can play with. I sometimes use it just to get more creative ideas for my work.
