desktop screen capture: how it is done?

here is an example link that i need for my real time capturing of the video for my instructional video http://www.videocopilot.net/tutorial.html?id=95

or the Mac OS X Leopard overview video.

how do you capture the entire desktop activities (including cursor-hand interaction on clickable tabs and buttons)

do you guys have any idea where can i get such app/software?

Try SnapZ X Pro. I got that from Macheist.
There's a lot more out there.

got it Leo. how is the video size? can it be the size of your monitor? or if i use a pass through device like sony dsr-45 (mini-dv player), will i be able to capture it using Final Cut?

the screen capture will be used for an instructional video.
instead of animating loads of print screens, i need to use a software for this video.
it will take a lot of time to animate each cursor-buttons-interaction in this kind of work.

    thanks, leo.

Yes, video can be the size of the monitor. I think there might be a trial version?
Try it out... it's Snapz Pro X pala, not X Pro.

Also try iShowU. You can use iShowU to capture system audio too. I use it a lot for online videos which don't normally allow saving.
