Application launch/ shared library error

    I can't open my freehand, illustrator or photoshop due to the error described in the attached image. 'The application "application's name" could not be launched because of a shared library error: <FreeHand 11 Base><CarbonLib><CFMPriv_System><>'.

    Tried repairing permissions and restarting but still no dice. HELP! and THANKS in advance.

    try deleting plist associated with the file and re install the app :D

    for every app? is there a quicker temporary way? I have to submit something this morning and dont have the apps install cds with me right now. thanks johnj2803!

    thats what i did when i had the same problem kasi with palm desktop.

    i made sure that all the files associated were deleted before i re installed...

    you might have inadvertently trashed an application that contained something impt to these apps. like what i did trashing missing syc... ther are apps that you need to run the uninstallers that came with the app rather than trashing it right away. :D
