the Apple Watch 5 White Ceramic looks good!
Got the space black stainless steel. Tried the titanium one, and it’s alright, but the color doesn’t match with my link bracelet.
Also gave up on ECG... for now.
When resetting the Apple Watch, does it mean I will also have to reactivate the ECG? Just got mine today but it's still paired from an iPhone that is already been reset.
FYI. Just got my Nike Series 5. I set it up as new since I could not find my backup of my Series 4 in the selection when I try to restore. I was surprised and happy when I see that ECG is still here.
^And where did you successfully activate it btw?
My Series 5 came from the US.
I previously owned a Series 4 which also came from the US, which I have successfully activated the ECG last year here in Ph.
I am currently using a Globe iPhone XS Max.
I’m currenly located in Cagayan de Oro.
^So that answers another theory of ours, that a US-bought Apple Watch can have its ECG app activated here in PH. Very interesting.
do you have a US or PH Apple ID?
I'm using a US Apple ID.
Mm...the common thread is same Apple ID.
Just three weeks more and I'll know for sure. The AW5 is already waiting for me at home in VA.
Surely it will be a thrill to open it. Then install. Then update. Then get ready to use it. Then I'll tell how it is.
Are you guys experiencing a fast battery drain with the always-on display?
I’ve had my Apple Watch S5 for almost a month now with always-on display since. I’ve never ran out of juice midday (I charge every night). At the end of the day, I’m left with around 30-40% charge.
I've started wearing my AW Series 5 today. Thanks for sharing this information! I guess I can live with this charge cycle..
I've been using my newly acquired AW S5 for 2 days now. The watch is indeed a masterpiece in terms of design and features.
The only huge downside I have noticed is its battery life. I need to charge every night just to make sure my AW S5 will be with me up until I get home the following day.
I have been using the Nike Edition AW S3 for more than a year and based on my daily usage, it can last for like almost 2 days in the office, without charging.
I have a feeling that this is caused by the "always on display" feature.
I could turn off that feature but I find it weird to do so because it is one of the reason why I have decided to upgrade.
Anyway other than the battery life, all is well with the watch.
Although I would recommend to stick with S3 or S4 if you prefer a longer battery life without having to charge it every night. (funny, because there are moments when I asked myself if I made the right move to chase for the "always on display" based on my daily usage)
My usage is very basic and light:
1. Reading notifications
2. Fitness tracker
I hope everyone is also enjoying their AW S5
Always on display is awesome! Glad i upgraded, it was the one feature i wanted right from the moment apple watch was introduced so didnt think twice even though i already have a series 4... got the nike edition as always along with the iphone 11 pro max at the ph launch batt life so far has been great, just like my series 4
Mm..light use (mostly notif and daily ecg) on my Series 5. Based on my normal usage since Series 0, it lasts up to 2 days. I do turn it off before bedtime after charging. Before sleeping, I use my Series 0 or Series 4. When traveling, I bring my Series 4 as backup Watch.
i heard that ecg is gps-based, but since some people's ecg is working locally....
re apple id... how will you know its USA or Phil...... or is it iTunes USA acct? my Apple ID (email acct) is different from my iTunes US acct (created 2004)
Mm....what sets any Apple account as US and not PH is not where you are but the payment system you include in your account details. It has to be either a US-issued credit card or a US iTunes gift card. This allows you to access the US App Store. I ve used the later since 2008 since I do not have a US issued cc.
You can actually create a US iTunes account without a credit card. My question is, does ECG only work for Apple Watches purchased in countries that's Apple ECG-supported?
