Actually bumili din ako last night ulit sa Power Mac for me, triny ko gawin yung work around para mapagana sa Pinas uung ECG pero hindi gumana.

^ I think ECG will not work ,bec your watch is from the Philippines which is not in the ECG supported country list.

It won’t work. There were PhilMuggers who bought the AW5 here, went to an ECG-supported country, activated it with a Philippine Apple ID, and it didn’t work. Then there’s some who activated it with a US Apple ID and still didn’t work but someone activated theirs using a Euro Apple ID in an ECG-supported country.

    I’m confused as well though.

^I believe he did set it up in the store. So that would work.

Hope that Apple will speed up the activation of these features to most of the country including PH without doing a workaround.

Hows the Walkie Talkie? did anyone tried it?

Including the AW Cellular models, when will this happen?

Tried it with the wife. A little buggy but otherwise, works as advertised. Basically a nice-to-have.

I showed some of my ECG charts on the AW5 to my doctor lately. He said the inconclusive ones may indicate “lack of parameters to determine atrial fibrillation or any other heart disease.” In short, the ECG app doesn’t really determine anything concrete. It may help, but a regular visit to a heart doctor is needed and not to depend on the app as a means of determining fitness and health. Just so someone says otherwise, my doctor also sports an AW5 with an activated ECG app. He’s younger than me but he says he was irregular heartbeats and is on medication.

There’s a scratch (lower right portion near the ECG icon) on the allegedly sapphire crystal face of the AW5, the same material said to be unscratchable by many reviewers. There’s actually a discussion forum for AW5 scratch sufferers https://discussions.apple.com/thread/250732806

Sent this pic to Apple and Apple Watch Review. What say you now, Jony Ive?

What if you bought a Europe or Singapore Apple Watch here in the Philippines, activated it here so there's no ECG, but when you have the opportunity to go to the US reset the Apple Watch again. Would ECG work then?

^What I am aware of and have read is that initial activation of the ECG app must be in an allowed country or state for it to work. For other factors, just read above posts for a workaround.

heads up on 3rd party AW chargers: these chargers may be incompatible with AW 5 if you are upgrading from the 3 due to the 5’s “upgraded” sensors

Mm....strange, but all you need is standard and ubiquitous 5 volt usb output to properly charge the Apple Watch regardless of generation (using the original Watch charging cable). Mine is connected to an Anker charging hub as my main charger. Never had any problems with 0, 4 and 5.

my baseus wireless charger combo (phone watch and airpods) can no longer charge my new AW5. Baseus employees themselves confessed that it is incompatible with the 4 and 5
