downloaded the update already but didnt install it yet, any noticeable difference to those with 2.0 iPhone/Touch?

How bout the backup feature, is it still painfully slow? Thanks testers :)

Speed seems to have improved. But sync, with more ethan 62 apps, and because of the back-up procedure, takes quite a while to finish. Likewise, my experience with updating apps, in both iTunes and iPhone, still seems weird.

Is iTunes 7.7.1 safe? I heard some friends lost some of their iPod data with the last update...

back-up is still slow. Mainly because it back-ups your whole data. What I usually do when i just wanna sync is just cancel the back-up and all syncing is faster.

no problems on my iTunes 771 on both macs.

Exactly. I don't know why iTunes keeps backing up my iPod when everything in my iPod is synced already. My iPod is just the extension of my iTunes library, iCal, and Contacts. All in all, my Notepad is the only one that needs to be backed up. I slept last night because my iPod is still backing up at around 2am.

What's the point, what's the value added when you back up your iPod?
