Not sure if this is the right sub forum.

I've been testing apple pay today here in SoCal and tried it multiple times with McDonalds and Walgreens.

I've set up 2 cards with apple pay thru the passbook app.

To use, just go to passbook, select card to use and then hold Iphone next to NFC terminal and hold touch id.

    1. McDonalds...it recognized it right away. No need to confirm amounts or anything.
    2. Walgreens..you have to confirm the amount thru their NFC terminal.

All in all, it was pretty quick. Not sure if Apple will provide a way to list out all your apple pay transactions but I'm not seeing it right now.

Let's see which Philippine retailer will be the first to accept apple pay. I think the roadblock will be the credit card issuers in the country. I guess within 1 year is being optimistic.

You can see a list of recent transactions in the Passbook app.

This is going to be big. It would be equivalent to the number of iPhone users with credit/debit cards. If it goes live, you gotta try it at least.

All I need to see is a tiangge with Apple Pay.

Starbucks and coffee shops with Apple Pay locally would be enough for me though. Fast food and groceries/7-11 would be the cherry on top.

    Haven't seen one yet.

I'm guessing higher end establishments with their demo in the B to A are more likely to bother unless other establishments can make up for the cost of the device in volume.

Right... And just like you, coffee shops and fast food restos with apple pay is enough for me. I just dont want these feature to go waste because our country is way behind technology. Besides, it is included in the premium price we paid for this smartphone. Sayang naman kung hindi siya totally magamit.

I don't think Apple pay has been activated for the Philippines yet. I could not see the credit card section in passbook yet.

Apple Pay will only work if you set your region to US.
