I am also currently subscribed to spotify premium. I am excited to try this out. If the price difference is more than compensated by the selections and music quality, why not?
Hoping that the pricing in the PH, if it launches here, can compete with the pricing of spotify here in the PH. Well, these kinds of hope have potential if we base it on an article in macrumors saying taht prucing in india and russia would be as low as $2 a month. So, keepin my fingers crossed that it could happen. Also, given that the music industry in the Philippines is dying fast, with all due respect, i think the record labels here would accept such an offer.
Yeah! Haha,, there are lots of songs that are not on spotify. As I see it, the itunes library, the ones that are for downloads, would be the ones that would be available in their streaming library. That's how I see it. So, most probably the ones that we see in our itunes app, will be available for streaming once we subscribe to it.
^ yes, Apple is probably one of the most lax music, movie, TV aggregators out there. While their EULA provides for very strict prohibitions as to who can download or stream content & from where, in actual practice, their itunes & app stores allow you to register multiple accounts in different jurisdictions, US, UK, JApan, Singapore, RP etc. So while not all stores may have the same content, by simply changing the country of your store, you can access content that's not available in your usual country's store. Of course, to open an account means that you are able to register an address/contact details in the country of your choice & some credit from that store to activate the account.
I have US and PH as well but in terms of payment you will have to link a US issued CC/DC. Well ofcourse there's GCASH Amex but I was referring to local availability of the said service ( A Music) since it would be a much less hassle to top up in a local account using local payment.
here are the countries that has itunes music store https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204411 i counted and there are 119 countries with music store, so there is a great chance of us being included in the music release.
We have heard about the Beatles, and now, Taylor Swift, Adele, and Radio Head are among the artists whose songs won't be available during the free three month trial. I expect the list to grow bigger as June 30 draws nearer. Apple should have just shouldered the royalties for the 3 month trial. They have billions of dollars of free cash anyway, rather than risk the having the artists pull out from Apple Music.
Apple caves in to Taylor Swift http://money.cnn.com/2015/06/21/media/taylor-swift-1989-apple-music/index.html
Well, that was a Swift response. Not only did Eddy Cue tweet to assure artists and potential subscribers that Apple will be paying artists during the three-month trial period, he also personally called Taylor Swift, according to this article: http://www.buzzfeed.com/brendanklin...er-free-tria?bftw&utm_term=4ldqpfp#.gnvW3gYwK I must say, she knows how to use her influence. However, for the Swift fans out there, there's still no word if she's releasing her latest album to MUSIC in light of this development.
Just get an itunes card bro, they are being sold everywhere, havent used a US-based cc in the five years since i've had my US itunes account, no problem topping off your account
Here's Billboard's Q&A with Eddy Cue regarding Taylor Swift and Apple's eventual decision to pay artists during the three-month trial period of MUSIC: https://www.yahoo.com/music/s/fallout-taylor-swifts-letter-apples-eddy-cue-answers-053728427.html Essentially, Apple has been contemplating this route before the Taylor Swift issue but her public disapproval of their original plan pretty much solidified it for them, according to Cue. Also, Apple will be eating the cost during the free 3-month trial period but hey, Apple loves music.
