I’ve only started using Spotify last Jan.
My friends finally convinced me to share in the Family Plan after resisting for so long because I prefer to “own” my music files.

    Anyway...

I seem to remember seeing lyrics in Spotify on one of the songs I was listening to.
I remember being surprised because its not a feature that is much discussed by users.
Maybe long(er)-time listeners on Spotify can chime in on this...

I remember those were just facts about the song and some parts of the lyric? AFAIK.

Family plan refers to payment of a group, you still have your own library.

Have that with my Apple Music.

    Only P40 a month.

    Music Streaming Update:

After much clamoring from my Spotify-loyalist family:

Converted my AM to a single (student) account - 69/month (glad I still have that .edu email)
    Spotify Family - 194/month
    YouTube Premium/Music - ~550/month

I’m guessing that since Spotify has a lot more user here in the Philippines they have more data in order to update their playlist. Example the Top Philippines Hits from Spotify could be more up to date compared to the similar playlist from Apple Music. Apple Music’s Top 100 Philippines still has Ed Sheeran’s Photograph, a 4 yr old song.

iOS 13 to open Siri support to Spotify and other third party apps.

"Ask that now and Siri will tell you that it cannot play songs from Spotify, but that could change soon. Apple is opening up its SiriKit framework to third-party music, podcasts, audiobooks, and radio apps in iOS 13 and iPadOS, enabling users to use Siri to control audio playback in supported apps."

Looks like more reasons for me to stick with Spotify

Spotify Stations is an awesome take on radio (ad free when on premium) and fills a Pandora-less hole in my life.

How is it different to Apple Music’s Radio?

    1. It's a separate app
    2. It takes you away from the clutter of the main app
    3. It still is based on your listening habits
    4. New UI encourages minimal interaction but delivers satisfying content

I maintain both account so I don’t get tired of the same playlist over and over again.

IMO Spotify's library is way full of clutter than Apple Music's so I ditched Spotify. The real time lyrics is a huge feature for my use. I don't really fully appreciate songs if I don't have any idea about it's meaning.

hmm just added Spotify Stations....cool app. Cant seem to link it to my Spotify in my mbp though. I usually like controlling volume and song playing via my iphone while on the treadmill as the mbp is hooked up to speakers. It (SS) can't detect the mbp whereas Spotify <-> Spotify is ok. Maybe its not allowed yet? Hopefully Spotify will allow this :)

subscribed to Spotify Family Premium for about 3+ years now... have 5 separate accounts for each of my family members. Didnt have a chance of switching to Apple Music as my family have mixed environments (iOS and Android).

Apple Music is also available on Android devices. You don't need to subscribe separately. You can just use your Apple/ iTunes account to log in to the Android App.
