I'm thinking of buying this one for my sister...

I've found YouTube reviews, but don't have time to watch them yet.

Wow, this is cheap. Please do a review once you decided to order :)
Please do inform us once you tested it.
I too tried to message all the sellers at Lazada but they can't give me a clear answer.
I think for us WINCE peeps, we just need the apk which will be installed in the gps/sd card for the carplay dongle to work..

i just placed an order on Lazada - i think as long as it is using the "autobox" approach it will work. there's a Chinese site that hosts the files (http://www.xiaobaipan.com/list-USB版苹果CarPlay盒子.html). will report back as soon as i get to test it out.

I've a 2016 everest SYNC 2. I'm an android user and have no problems w sync2. I really want to get the new iphone but this sync2 incompatibilty is one of the things that keep me from shifting to an iphone. The iphone is quite expensive as it is. Don't wanna buy a new HU so perhaps android pa din :(

hang on friends, let me get it to actually work first. :) plus the seller's come back and said he needs a 2-week delay to complete the sale. so let's wait a bit.

Finally tested Waze on my Sync3 CarPlay. So far, so good. Medyo iba lang ang graphics niya compared sa Waze sa phone pero I love that you can still type the address using a keyboard. I was afraid na baka voice lang ang gawin nila like the messages.

What I like about Waze being on the dash is that, when I’m going to some unfamiliar place, I can sleep and let Kate - English (UK) - take over and talk to my driver

okay - finally got the device but not getting it to work just yet, not sure if it is a power issue or a compatibility issue. i'll keep checking.

EDIT: one angle am looking at is adding a powered USB hub into the mix. will see if i can test it out tomorrow/later.

Just a question, is there a way in your wince head unit to read the apk file you linked earlier?
I tried putting it in sd card but can't seem to open it, mine was a AVT brand.

it needs to be an EXE file. the program files i got ran properly (renaming it to NAVIGATION.EXE, replacing the navi program), but it wasn't recognising the dongle even with additional power injected via a powered hub (actually returning it today). i'm getting a different unit and trying again.

Does Lazada accept returns even if it's compatibility issue and not a defect? planning to order sana, before I buy a head unit with carplay.
