Apple CarPlay

    because of this, i have switched to google maps which now also considers the traffic

    ^ Despite having an Android HU, I almost exclusively use the wireless Carplay feature - except when listening to FM/AM radio.
    On Android, I check on my Torque Pro app from time to time to see what my ECU is up to. :D

    ^Pioneer's AVH-Z5250BT is only around 25K. cheaper than an iPad with Cellular, and it has everything you'll need in a head unit.

    Only issue I can see against it is that your phone will be in driving mode

    agree, but again. if someone borrows your car, they'll see your entire history.
