I recently purchased an in-app subscription for P219, and another subscription for P1050.

When I saw the charge in my BPI Debit Card, it was P222.29 and P1065.75 respectively. It’s usually the exact amount from the IAP if the price shown is in peso. Now there seems to be around 2% markup.

Then I received the App Store Invoice and it was exactly 219 and 1050. There was no mention of tax or additional fees. Has anybody also experienced these hidden fees?

NOTE: I did login using a US Account, then logout and re-login with my PH Account before doing any account related stuff, if this has any bearing with the issue.

BPI will also start charging a cross border fee on their credit cards starting February 2024. Applies to all foreign transactions AND acquirer at point of sale. So even if you pay in peso, if its netflix or amazon or any other foreign company...there will be a 1% additional cost

Anyone here having difficulties accessing the App Store? Seems like it’s been down since this morning.
