i think it works. because i saw it under the Mi Home app. and there is an alexa skill for Mi so i think it works
Thanks! Also got the mi home desk lamp tonight and it does work for alexa! The desk lamp sells for only 1.5k at the official ph store
New additions hehe upgraded the echo dot with the echo spot, works and looks great! The tplink plug also has energy monitoring which is very nifty Got a question, i’m using a power extension cord in my room, i can plug it to the tplink plug right? Thanks
I have a power strip connected to a Wemo switch at our living room. Connected to the strip are: a lamp, an electric fan and two phone chargers/cables. I schedule the Wemo to switch OFF at 2 AM, because the kids sometimes leave ON the appliances overnight. How did you order the Echo Spot and how much is the landed cost?
Got it via shippingcart bro srp by echo spot then add around 600-700 for shipping... my entire shipping cost was actually 2.5k+ but that included other items like the google home mini and some cases, but u could chek individually and the echo spot was around that price when shipping via air
Finally the star of the show has arrived hehe welcome homepod to the smart speaker family... beside the echo spot and the bose soundlink revolve
Is that the Philippine time on your Amazon echo sir? I have read somewhere that you cannot set it to our time.
Dana Willams She opened for a concert of an artist I was following. She's the voice behind this apple commercial Here she is up close and live!
Finally got my "unsupported" Xiaomi-Philips smart bulb to play ball with Alexa. I had to go through scripts and hoops, but I got it working. I then created a simple Routine in Alexa called "Movie Mode". All it does is turn the lights off and turn on the TV and A/V Receiver. Partial list of components used: Broadlink RM Pro+, RM Tasker Plugin, Amazon Echo Dot, and a Raspberry Pi 2 running Home Assistant (Hass.io). The Raspberry Pi 2 Broadlink RM Pro+ IR and RF blaster Not visible here is the Broadlink RM Mini3 located in the bedroom (to control the bedroom TV and A/C) and my old Sony Xperia Z3 Dual hosting the RM Tasker Plugin. Equipment I can control now with Alexa: 1. All TVs including STBs 2. A/V Receiver 3. All split-type A/Cs 4. Smart bulbs 5. Smart plugs 6. Smart light switches (RF)
A couple more video demonstrations. This video shows how I control the A/C through Alexa. It's not as intuitive as saying "set the temperature to..." or "lower/increase the temperature by...". Again, you'll need the big guns like Sensibo or Ambi Climate to be able to do that. I'm actually ok as it is. Anyway, I've already pre-programmed our mostly-used settings (namely, cooling mode * 23-27°C and 'Turbo'). If I need additional presets, I just "teach" the Broadlink RM the new codes. The next video shows the Broadlink RM Pro+ in action. All Broadlink RM universal IR remotes have seven (7) IR LEDs in a flower arrangement. It means that it can throw out IR codes in a full 180-degree field. Actual effective range depends on the sensitivity of the IR receiver at the equipment/appliance side.... or if there's something blocking the line-of-sight.
Started with xiaomi air purifier and philips hue white and color ambiance which i bought six months ago controlled over siri and the philips hue dimmer switch, then i just recently bought Ambi Climate (for AC), Tonbux Smart power strip (for non smart devices like my electric fan & air revitalizer), harmony hub (for my tv) and to control all of them i also bought an echo dot which is connected to my old bose sounddock portable (though the speaker auto sleeps when not in use for a period of time, but i just tell alexa to turn on bose via the harmony hub). And i just ordered a smart oil diffuser which will arrive next week.
