Ordered an Ipad on Apple Philippines official online store
Why does it take so long to deliver, it will take 28 days to deliver?
Or is there a chance that it will be delivered earlier and 28 days is just the maximum?

And Why is it shipping from Singapore?
But even then it should just take a week to ship from Singapore.

    Upon use of tracking.
Its been stuck in Singapore for almost a week now. What is going on?

Was able to order the first iPad mini from Apple Online Store Philippines when I was still living in the PH, it took around 3 weeks for the item to be delivered to me in Bacolod City (Visayas). Even now, all orders made are shipped out from Singapore.

What's weird is even here in Thailand where we have an Apple Store at Icon Siam, the Apple Pencil I ordered online was still shipped out from Singapor.

Apple Singapore handles all of South East Asia I think. Even local resellers order from Apple Singapore.

Wish there was a Philippine-specific FAQ. Questions like these get asked frequently enough to necessitate it.

Package Arrived 10 days early! Ordered on Aug 17 and September 12 was supposed delivery date

With a heart wrenching moment! While I was tracking my package. When it first landed in Manila then was probably mistakenly sent to Hong kong. Crazy moment!

Luckily somebody must have noticed the mistake and sent the package back, like immediately.

So I'm assuming it had to be checked and cleared by Philippines Customs twice.

Reviving this thread. Quick question lang po.

I’m residing here in PH. I’m planning to buy an iPhone SE in Apple Singapore online store since they are cheaper than Apple PH online store prices. Will there be additional charges like taxes to be paid? Or ordering in Apple PH still the best option to do? TIA!

they wont ship it as the prices reflected have paid up import duties baked in.

you have the most unique question on philmug about this topic.

    @Adarna
    Thanks!
But the idea was likely the same with antski.

No, it’s way off. Antski is stating that Apple SG is handling Philippine inventory. You are asking if it is possible to order via the Apple Online Store SG to ship to the PH.
    • Inventory will in fact come from Singapore / China.
    • Pricing is only applicable in the area specified. So no, it is not possible to order from Apple SG to ship to the PH as Apple Online Stores cater their specific country only.

    @John

That’s why I said “idea”. He mentioned also “resellers”, who are these resellers? If these resellers buys from Singapore, then the iPhone model will have a different model number.
And in fact, I did asked if there will be any additional charges like taxes I need to pay If I ordered from other Apple online store. If adarna is right, probably the payout process won’t allow me to complete the checkout since they don’t support shipping to PH.

Resellers are Apple Authorized Resellers. Btw it pertains to Apple Singapore Corporate, not online store. And no additional taxes (usually authorized resellers have a 1k markup over the online store, and you can get an edu discount on applicable items)

Thank you for expounding my thought.

It's cheaper and faster to order from an Apple authorized reseller in the US then ship back to the Philippines than to buy anywhere else.

Delivery is free of charge. Just to give you heads up as it may take a while to deliver. I ordered last May 12 2020, it looks like the COVID-19 crisis makes much delay.

On hold for 8 days in SG before its flight to HK
On hold for 2 days in HK for customs clearance
On hold for 8 days in PH for customs clearance

I have chat with the courier service and they just told me that the item is for delivery today

Personally, the only reason I can see buying from Apple (online/physical store) is if it's "back to school" (free Beats), Refurbished and Clearance... and if local authorized resellers do not have current stocks (normally happens when there's a newly released hardware and you need cases/keyboards etc)

Authorized Resellers (here in SG) will normally give you free cases / screen protector / rebates.

Apple store might now even give you a paper bag.

Customized specs for macbook too. If you order it from a local reseller, its gonna take a lot of time for them to order if for you.

For home schooling, google classroom, Office suite, Zoom, MS Teams. Yes. You have a very reliable portable and that price, that's perfect.
