apparently, ibook g4 (late 2004 model) only supports mirror displays so i can't really use Powerpoint:Mac's Presenter Tools. Is there any way to upgrade the display preferences to include the Arrangement tab?

i wonder, if this ibook model doesn't support multiple displays without mirroring, how can the presenter tools feature of keynotes work with it?

This is indeed a good app. :) From experience, I don't advice using the clamshell mode, doesn't work well in terms of resolution and other graphic-related problems. Have fun orj78!

wait lang. i thought ibook g4 couldn't do mirror displays, and it was the powerbooks that could do that. which exactly is the mirror display? when i turn on mirroring in my powerbook it shows on the projector exactly what's on my monitor. but when i turn mirroring off the projector shows my desktop while my screen shows the window i'm working in.

however, with my papa's ibook, it just shows exactly what's on his monitor.

It can't, not without a hack, which is what Screen Spanning Doctor is. Installing Screen Spanning Doctor will let certain models of iBooks, iMacs and eMacs do screen spanning.

clamshell mode is when you can use your portable even when the lid is closed. it just heats up more when in clamshell mode.

You use an external keyboard and mouse.

the last version of the ibook does not support screen spanning as a default.you need to download this app for you to do screen spanning.
