another YM problem

    ... only this time this is about YM for windows. my dad just arrived home from saudi last night with his dell inspiron laptop, and for some reason, he can't log on to his YM. he can check his email, though, and surf other sites so i think it's not our SmartBro connection that's the problem. tried logging in through my account and my mom's, and it didn't work both times. i uninstalled it and reinstalled twice, and won't connect still. checked his firewall, YM is not blocked. there's no problem with the other pc laptop in the house as to logging in to YM.

    his version of YM is the newest one (8.1) and he's using Vista. he says it worked just fine when he was in saudi. i know that for sure, because we were able to chat with him before he got here.

    i hope it's alright to post this here. i don't know how else to proceed. i'm desperate for some help! :confused:

    hi, i've encountered similar problems before, here. read the thread here.


    What I did was, (using Windows), simply request for a new password then create a new one.

    sige will try that. but isn't it weird that other user accounts can't log in too?

    i requested for a new password and created a new one. won't work still. this is frustrating!
