Does anyone know if address book has a nickname field, and if there's any way of accessing it? I'm in the process of organizing my address book. I got used to calling people by there nicknames that It takes me another second or two to remember their names in my address book. :)

    Hi,

go to address book properties, go to template tab and click on the drop down menu "add field" choose nickname.

Thanks. I guess I'll try that. Wish that Address Book was a bit more robust. I remember that with my SE phone I each number had a different icon and you can edit birthdays on it.

Update: Tried it with one and it doesn't work when I typed nickname in the "to" field in the email. That was fast.

Open to more suggestions. Thanks. :)

Neiljohn's suggestion should work. Is this what you're trying to do:

Hmm... No. But I found it already. Thanks for the screenshots. They helped a lot. I was doing it through the edit fields at first. :)
