i normally sync my phone nokia 6600 with my pb through isync. i remember my pb crashed yesterday for some reason. i then restarted.

this evening i synched with my phone and pb, to my surprise i lost all my contacts in my pb and my phone. i think it had something to do with the crash yesterday. i was using my phone and i am sure the list was still complete before the sync.

now my problem, anybody know how i can sync my old contacts to my phone and my address book? i was searching through my files and saw that there are archives dated later than the 17th with names similiar to "AddressBook.data.previous". do help me out, i'm pretty sure you can get an idea how difficult it would be to get all the contacts! thanks!

i was able to fix my address book and i'm now so excited and relieved!

for the benefit of the other people who might encounter my experience *knock on wood*.

i searched through the finder all the "address" named files! i then aligned them by date. i found a folder that had files made and modified on a later date before my pb crashed. i figured why not paste the whole "address" folder (later date) on the last synced folder (dated today).

it was just a try, then i wasn't really expecting it to work. i opened the address book again! to my surprise all my contacts where there again! woohooo!!! i then backed it up automatically of course, just incase a problem may occur.

well to avoid this kind of incident, backup your address book regularly, or before you sync double check if your address book has anything inside and vice versa with phone, palm, ipod, etc.
