There is no ota for this release. It was/is meant for peeps still on ios5.0 not for peeps on 5.0.1 already. But if you really want it. Download it thru itunes and restore your 4s (the minor tweak is only for ip4s and not for ip4)

Thanks. Guess i'll skip this then and wait for 5.1. My 4s is working fine on 5.01 Build 9A405.

Restored my friends unit which was left with me. It looks like this build has fixed the signal issues. I know it's too early to confirm it but i have been using the unit for 1 hr and no glitches so far.

    will update again later.

no problems incoming and outgoing sms so far.

Did it fixed the signal issue and battery life? Just in time for the iphone4s released here, do it says it open to hackers porting of SIRI to other iphone4 or other apple devices.

Just saw from the Apple support site that the re-release of this update is really intended to the network issue encountered by some of the iPhone 4S users.

Here's the support article from Apple's site -- link.

i realized that the new iphone4s from globe is update to 5.0.1 no need to update. Does this mean this version was made just in time for the release of iphone4s in the Philippines and other country, or they somehow update the stocks then shift it to the country where it is intended.

    Nope.

    My Globe 4S came with 5.01 (9B405)
The re-release is build 9B406 and includes a new modem firmware version (1.0.14)

Just updated mine one hour ago and so far so good. I still have a strong Globe signal. My sim is not even a microsim card, it was just cut from the old sim I've been using a few years now. ;)
