Recorded a few weeks ago, but forgot to share. So here:

Doing a test shoot this Wednesday for a commercial 360 project. Not what I do professionally, but opportunity knocks!

Borrowed a friend's Ricoh Theta S for that Bali trip.

Just returned from another trip, where I bought a Samsung 360 camera, which was cheaper at Changi airport than those sold in Amazon. Have not unboxed it yet though. Will try it out this week. :)

very nice! thats the Ricoh Theta audio? or was the audio recorded using another medium?

When I got my LG 360 camera the very first thing I did was set it up inside my car to test it as a secondary cabin and dash camera (pardon the toothached singing)..

It seems I should've installed it closer to the windshield so that it could focus the outside more than the inside.

But what I truly enjoy with the 360 camera is the Tiny Planets we can make out of it.. here's one from my recent getaway in Saranggani Province.

same here! anyways do you own a 360 camera too? or planning to buy one?

The only downside with the current lineup of 360 cameras is the optical quality is not that great since consumer-grade 360 cameras are still in its infancy, its like I went back to using old Nokia Camera Phones even in bright light image is still poor.. quality degrades too a maximum on low-light situations.. (it would be a little good have I had not been a DSLR/Micro43rds enthusiast).

Hopefully the to soon to be released Nikon 360 will be better optically.. in the sound department I would say it as fine as the LG 360 has dual audio input that made the sound a little surround.. I am yet to try editing the video like how rbenzon did but I need to capture something interesting too to make it worth haha.

the Ricoh Theta was my first option, although it would cost me more, the thing that made me consider to look for other options is the Theta only has 4GB internal memory and no option for expansion (microsd slot).. the LG 360 is cheaper and it has a microsd slot so its hands down a better choice for me.. it saved me a cool 10k

the only thing about being an early adopter is you get to experience all bugs that comes with a new product.. from errors to non-functioning features.. to software updates that take months to be released, you get to be resourceful on trying to find alternative ways to make it work right.. but good thing about the 360 cameras is that they are already gaining ground this past few months.. and developers are more proactive now unlike before when they rely solely on bad reviews etc.

A night shot we took inside the cart of the Odaiba giant Ferris Wheel in Tokyo. It was pitch black so we used our phones for lighting! Camera: Ricoh Theta
