Anyone here pulled the trigger already? Im about to buy an MBP M1 13” 16GB ram and 512GB ssd but im still thinking if I should buy now or wait for the early 2021 release like a 16”-model. Its now available at Apple Store PH so its really tempting.

After watching all reviews available on these new M1s, I finally ordered the base 512GB from Apple PH with an estimated delivery date on Jan 21. I’m not a power user but I’m glad I waited long enough before upgrading.

Hello M1 MBP 13" users, been a lurker here for quite some time and just wanted to ask if any of you have tried to purchase the M1 MBP recently via Apple Store PH online?

I got woken up by a notification on my phone and was so ecstatic to see that my Mac has already shipped! I bought the base model with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD mostly for clerical stuff and light 1080p video editing for the meantime. Once the new M1X series (or whatever Apple Silicon Macs get released) I will certainly buy one of those, preferably the 14" MBP.

My 2017 Intel i5 MacBook Air was bought via Apple Store PH online as well and took about 3 weeks to arrive at the DHL House in Chino Roces (couldn't wait anymore so I drove down there to fetch it instead of agonising over the 2 more days remaining for the scheduled delivery), just wondering, how long does it normally take nowadays to arrive in PH?

I know there are delivery estimates, just wondering if you guys can share your thoughts on this, it's been over 3 years since my last purchase after all...

(I purchased my M1 MBP for just Php 65,990 via the Apple Educational Store)

Welcome to Philmug KG888! I'm a regular customer of the PH Applestore. Bought over two dozen Macs (including eight 27-inch iMacs) for personal use, friends, and family using the Applestore. My latest purchase is an M1 Macbook Air for a friend. Never had a problem with delivery, thank goodness. The wait usually takes three weeks, sometimes earlier but so far, Apple has always delivered a few days before their official ETA. Perhaps in your case, the combination of holiday season and complication of COVID made delivery longer than expected.

Wonder if that's possible with the new MacBook.

2 hrs high brightness for safari -10%
2.5hrs of FF 14 at -80% -> i already decreased screen brightness.. but some safari tabs are open and I also use a bt keyboard and bt mouse. So not sure really. i'll try to do a full day check over the weekend siguro. Hmmm, I changed graphics to high too for FF 14 today (though I couldnt tell the diff). Maybe I should try using just standard def

I got an SMS from apple that they are delivering it today, Jan 13 - that’s 8 days ahead of schedule!

Shipment from SG to HK and finally to PH was pretty smooth over the Holidays and I got regular updates from the DHL app. Took only 1 day for PH customs to clear the package. So, for those wanting to purchase their MBP through Apple Store PH, I can still recommend this route

    Down the road less taken...
I was able to chat with Apple Store Sales support and yes they say that they will deliver the unit right at your doorsteps without any need to pay for additional customs taxes and clearance concerns as this came from Singapore and all taxes paid.

Although i already bought a MBA M1 from PowerMac in SM Telebastagan, the local apple official stores here now have stocks for MBP and MBA M1.

    LUCKY YOU!

    Clearance processing completed earlier today.

I wonder if I should wait for Apple to send me a message instead or pick it up at DHL because 22nd is far too long and my MBA is conking out! LOL

Wow that’s impressive considering the graphics performance is similar to a GTX 1050ti.

My Acer predator with desktop 1060 can barely stay on for more than an hour and a half—well, that’s to be expected. Sounds like a dyson supersonic too.

Finally got my M1 MacBook Pro! Awesome screen, speakers, trackpad, and overall performance versus the 2017 i5 Air I own! Fetched it at DHL House in Chino Roces after 12 days of wait! Couldn't bear to wait any longer!

I think our orders are in the same batch. I also picked up my order at the DHL office at Chino Roces today. Haha! I am liking the brightness and keyboard so far. A significant step up from my late 2016 MBP with touchbar.
