^ These 'millenial' F1 drivers are a refreshing sight and brings the sport closer than ever to the younger generation.

If you mean Max, Charles, Lando, Alex Albon and George Russell (plus Lance Stroll), they are Gen Z, not millennials (GenY). Technically, the Millennials are Lewis, Vettel, Carlos Sainz, Jr., Bottas, Daniel Ricciardo, etc.

Regardless, I agree that these young guns bring an increased level of excitement to the series.

Wow. Just read that Seb was never even offered a contract by Ferrari. No negotiations.

I wonder at what point did they decide they no longer want Seb’s services.

The point where they decided old men can’t drive fast anymore.

That’s how Ferrari treats its drivers except the one surnamed Schumacher. And that’s why McLaren needs to up the stakes by getting back in the game.

I'm in awe on what the Mercs are showing right now on quali. BOT broke into the 1.02s. Just awesome.

Meanwhile, it looks like tRacing Point have a chance of a podium tomorrow.

Good showing by Lando and Carlos. Still hoping they’d will beat out the Tracing Points.

Ferrari again looks like they’re going backwards... AGAIN.

A few months back when it was announced that Seb would be leaving, everyone’s talking about how Ferrari should have someone who would put them into contention, but now it seems they just need a good engine. Alonso would be screaming gp2 engine if he’s still with ferrari.

Sainz should be realizing that he’ll get beaten by his previous team next year..

In Seb’s defense, he just wanted a free tire choice. That’s seb for you, thinking two steps ahead of everyone in the midfield. HAHAHA

those overtakes by Leclerc and Norris are superb...Leclerc on the outside of Norris to take the fourth position and He dives down the inside of Perez to take the 3rd...

Norris, pastPerez for the 4th and takes fastest lap at the end to get the 3rd place from Hamiltons penalty...

Charles saved the day for Ferrari, they are clearly off the pace, even slower by almost a second from last year's pole (by Charles himself)

Before we get to the engine row from last year and the secretive settlement with the FIA; they themselves admitted that the car had an aero drag problem coming into qualifying.

Heartbreak again for Albon, and with the same guy.

I am cheering for Valterri to win the title this year! (unless Ferrari turns it around) :p

That McLaren is back to the podium is the biggest F1 news to date. That a 20-year old driver named Lando Norris taking a podium as the youngest ever is the next biggest news. So much to look forward to this season.

Just to be clear, Lando is the youngest Brit to get on the podium.

Yes. And third youngest finisher behind Verstappen and Stroll. But still a great achievement.

    Yep, crazy achievement.

But as a McLaren fan, I'm sort of managing my expectations. While I'm over the moon we scored high up in the points, I think the best we can finish is still P4 in the Constructor's Championship.

Looks like F1 2020 is exciting. Now, if they make Formula 0 for Mercedes and remove them from F1, it would be more exciting.

I'm a Ferrari fan but I think McLaren can do P3. That is if the red cars *drag* themselves this season.

Wildcard for P3 will be the tRacing Points, they definitely have the pace.

Looking at the on-board footage, the SF1000 are looking slow on acceleration in the straights.

But I should say in fairness to LEC, he got the job done with pure driving skills and a little bit of luck. He did save one of my F1 Fantasy teams since he is set as my MegaDriver (MD). My team is currently 7th in PH League :D
