so tempting... but I checked the Apple Singapore store and only the 15 inch models get the 9th gen processors :(

13" MBP only gets the updated quad-core 8th-gen
    15" MBP - 6 and 8-core 9th-gen

disappointed in a way... i just recently got the 2018 :( but at least they'll cover 2018 keyboard in case of issues.
seems unfair they, currently, are not including 2016-2017 keyboards :(

Meh. I'd rather wait for the rumored ARM MBP models. Apple should ditch Intel ASAP because of all the side-channel (Meltdown, Spectre, MDS,???) vulnerabilities those processors have.

I never had issues with my 2017 MBP keyboard, but a more robust design is more than welcome.

So, it might be at least another year to wait for the rumored 16in MBP :(

"According to The Verge, some existing MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models that experience keyboard failures will have their keyboards replaced with the new 2019 keyboard that Apple has developed. Unfortunately, only MacBooks with the third-generation butterfly keyboard can get the updated 2019 keyboard, which includes the 2018 MacBook Pro and the 2018 MacBook Air."

So if you have 2016 or 2017 MacBook Pro that have keyboard issues, they will replace it only with old design of butterfly keyboard? Man that sucks bigtime..

^I was wondering where I saw that article...

I guess 2018 devices have the space for the new Gen keyboards

so it seems it is just a material change... not really how it will prevent particles and/or what...

    Thanks for the head's up.

Looking at BosJap prices it is cheaper to freight forward from BH to PH than buy from BosJap & Apple US/PH.

There are still some who prefer to transact over the counter as they prefer to make friends with the store staff and owner.

I prefer cheaper price to my doorstep.
