2017 Macbook Air was announced 11 months, 1 week ago. What do you think will be new in the Mid 2018 or Late 2018 Macbook Air?

I am hoping for all 2018 announced parts. :)

Still worth it to buy a 2017 MBA for 44,000? (Switch deal until tomorrow only) or will the price go down

Don't wanna spend $1200 for the new one lol

Hey in my opinion 44k for a macbook air 2017 no. You get a non retina display a 3-4 years old intel HD6000 and 5th gen Processor. but on the positive note you get USB Ports :) oh btw i'm using a Macbook air 13 2015 8GB Variant as a daily Work computer :) . 4-5 months ago sold a 2016 12inch Macbook for 36k wish i didn't sell it since apple extended the warranty for keyboards incase it breaks

It all boils down to your purpose for the device, if it matches or exceeds your expectation and usability at the proper price point then go for it, but if this is for the sake of having the latest and the greatest i personally suggest not to buy the new one, the excitement will eventually settle down in time and you then get to your senses and start thinking of spending that hard earned bucks to something more appropriate.

The old one serves many people wonderfully. I bet it’s margins are really great coming up to this refresh. Now, tech savvy and frugal technocrats can get in on the fun with this new model.

This is the model I’d be recommending my rich but less tech-inclined friends and relatives. Perfect for Netflix binge and word processing as well as light PS work.

Now this is the MacBook Air I've been waiting for! Black and thinner bezels with Retina Display...and the Touch ID, Space Grey option and new speakers are very much welcomed. Can't wait to get this for Christmas. :X3::D

This is a toss-up, and a conundrum: the new Mac Air, or the new iPad Pro?

You get the Air you don't need the Pro, and vice versa...but you get both, you enjoy both worlds...

And here's the catch: any which way, it's still a great buy...

The eGPU support intrigued me. It may be my new workhorse for Xcode development instead of the pricey MBP.

The new MacBook Air turned out to be at par with the MacBook in power, which isn't so bad considering I wanted a MacBook in the first place as my secondary machine. Suddenly the impressive battery life makes a lot of sense.

It's a shame, I expected a level of performance somewhere between a MacBook and a MacBook Pro. I'm now eagerly awaiting benchmarks if only to see where this goes.

Apple built a wall for me to climb with that price tag but this is definitely my next laptop. I have the 10.5” iPad so I’m not in a hurry to upgrade.

Well, I would buy in a heartbeat if they would adopt a different design in place of the butterfly keyboard.

For extra $100 you can already get the new MBP base model.

Thinking about that as well...but I'm leaning towards the Touch ID, battery life and the 8th Gen CPU's of the MBA..
