i thought this year's ipad pro didnt come with 128gb capacity
You’re right. 64gb, 256gb, 512gb and 1tb only.
yeah, I mean I added plug-in storage. Sorry if it makes you confused.
How did you add plug-in storage po? Can it do both import and export functions?
Ugh, ang hirap maghanap ng available stocks today. I'm currently looking for 12.9" 256gb wifi only and lahat ng PMC and BTB stores out of stock. I only have till end of Jan to buy one cause I'm grabbing the opportunity of BPI's madness limit promo. Is there a way na makapagreserve sa kanila just in case magkaroon sila ng stock? I'm ready to buy naman asap na meron. May case/screen pro na nga ako. iPad n lang tlga kulang...
A few days ago btb Burgos Circle had the 12.9" 256gb in stock.
Might have missed it. I did inquire last Friday and they said they don't have stocks on all their branches.
Went to Makati yesterday and checked all the stores that possibly sell it but to no avail. Just left my contact details just in case they have them on hand asap.
Was so excited to restore my old iPad Pro to my new 1tb 12.9 cellular pro when I realized the cable with the charger was usb c to c...
Luckily a family member had a usb c to a cable.
Question for those who have tested:
If I have an Anker with the IQ charging, will it be safe to charge using usb c to the iPad and the usb a charging from the Anker plug with IQ? Been reading amazon and no ones answered it yet. I don’t want an over heated iPad Pro lol
Mm....discussed before. No. Use a powerbank or power anything (power adaptor, USB charging hub, charging station etc.) with a dedicated USB C port, and use the iPad USB C cable, not the third party ones. Don’t risk it.
So far I've been charging and synching with a 3rd party USB-C to USB-A cable with no problems. I have no choice since my MBP is really really old (2010 model) and has no USB-C port.
Does the newly released iOS 12.1.3 supports split keyboard?
Well ive been using an anker usb c to usb a for syncing with my mac, but for charging im using an anker usb c to usb c
Mm...the specs of the Apple USB C charger for the new iPad Po is 18 watts as per Apple support page:
“To charge iPad Pro, connect the included USB-C cable to the device's USB-C port and to the included 18W power adapter. Then plug the adapter into a wall outlet.
If you have a higher-wattage USB-C power adapter — such as the one that came with your Mac notebook — you can use it with iPad Pro, and you might see faster charging. You can also charge iPad Pro by connecting it to the USB-C port on your computer.”
It does not mention using a usb c to usb a adaptor to RECHARGE. USB C is mentioned 4 times. There must be a reason for that. I ve searched the web. Unclear if it is SAFE to use a powerbank or power adaptor with USB A power output using an adaptor. Therefore, it is prudent to use the included charger or at most, use a power bank or power adaptor with a dedicated USB C port with at least 18 watts.
Thanks for the reply!
Least I know I ordered the right thing.
Haven’t gotten much use of the Pro since I bought it compared to the Surface which I bring along all the time. Probably because its bigger and bulkier that I leave it behind, probably because it has no mil-spec case, probably because the wife uses it more than I do.
Same here, no problem so far. My charging station at home is an Anker.
Same with me. Bought my 1tb cellular pro on an impulse but enjoy it cause it’s so fast but my XS max more than enough for work.
Which Surface do you use, that's lighter than the iPad Pro?
I've got it the other way around - Pro 11 in the bag more often then Surface devices
I've come to appreciate USB-C much more than I expected, so much that I'm annoyed if I have to bring a different type cable.
-iPad Pro 11
-Work laptop (Dell 7280)
-Sony mirrorless camera
-right now it's only my Anker wireless earbuds that require a different cable (microUSB) to charge - and I can only tolerate it because I only need to do so maybe once every two weeks
Anyone can suggest a good case for the 12.9 locally available that’s not an overpriced apple keyboard? Lol
Have bitter feelings cause my last keyboard just died out of nowhere.
Is it safe to purchase an iPad Pro 12.9 2018 from the Lazada Apple Flagship Store? What courier do they use to ship these expensive items? Still Ninjavan?
