my last mac was a white macbook that took hours to fully charge from a fully drained battery.

i used up my 13" macbook pro's battery down to 20% and when i plugged it in, it says it just needs 1:47 hours to fully charge again.

    is this normal?

update: checked it again after a couple of minutes and now it says it needs 2:21 hours to fully charge.

yes, i noticed this too. it's fast! even from complete drain (i've tried it). it's a lot faster than my old macbook.

whew! thought something wasn't right. how's your battery life going right now? at the moment?

on my first charge i went on four hours using lightroom editing RAW images. i'm expecting battery life to even get better as i start using up the battery more.

I was actually shocked that it needed only that amount of time. I was also using the battery down to 20%. It took approximately the same time as yours. I consider it very fast in fact...

yup, shocked is the best word to describe how i felt as well...was so used to my macbook and previous iBook needing hours and hours to fully charge a drained battery. i'm loving this mbp even more now!

angel, i know! i remember cycling my ol' macbook's batt and got furious as it got me stuck in the office still waiting for it to fully charge, i think about 5 hours or so if i'm not mistaken.
