On your OT, kawawa naman yung mga kakabili lang ng 8GB 3G at the $99 pricepoint, they will get semi-screwed on this 8GB 3GS rumors.

Back on thread topic, I'll wait for others to upgrade first as the 10.5.8 changelog isn't too enticing. :)

    After the update...

    2 Apple Start-up chime before Log-in screen.
    Improve/faster response on application launch.
10sec load my iTunes with over 100Gig of itunes media files - b4 approx 12sec
5sec to load my iPhoto with over 20gig of photos - b4 approx 8sec
    8sec to load my iMovie with over 50gig of videos/projects. - b4 approx 10sec
2sec to load all files content on smart folder. - b4 approx 3-5sec

although the update is not about performance, I can say that with the 10.5.8 update, it improves performance using OS X Application.

Downloaded and installed with no problems on my Macbook Pro. Not sure if there is any difference in feel or performance of the UI but so far so good. :)

Will the 4-finger (hack) gestures still work on this--at least with the Early '08 MacBook Pros?

Made my manual backups but totally forgot to fix permissions before applying the combo update.

The update went fine tho, and appears a teeny bit snappier.

This update means we're 0.1 away from the Snow Leopard! My ACLs in Disk Utility returned after updating to this. Zapped them again with MacPilot.
