updating. wohoo! no one predicted this day, eh? edit: sadly, it takes 2 hours for me to finish the update. damn isp...
Thanks for the heads-up! Yay! It fixes the Dvorak problem they introduced in 10.5.6! Downloading it now... Edit: It's frakking huge! The update alone is 442MB, while the combo update is 729MB! Apple should start considering BitTorrent as a distribution method—as their files get larger and the number of downloaders increases, the convenience and bandwidth savings will add up.
I think your hard drive is full. Downloading the update now. 3 hours and 30 minutes! Looks like I'll have to update when I get back from school...
anyone finished downloading and installed already? how it is? try to download this evening when i got home.
Just finished updating, using Software Update. File size was 286MB for my update. So far, it's working alright. OS X 10.5.7 required me to update my Safari 4 Beta, though. And I lost my four-finger multi-touch gesture on my classic MBP (pre-unibody).
Hmm. Try downloading the update again. Maybe it got corrupted/cut the first time? Mine got cut at 90mb as well. Restarted the download and now I'm at 140mb. Fingers crossed it goes all the way to 729mb! Isn't it over 400mb, even if you're on 10.5.6?
Yeah, that's what I was expecting, too, since that's what was posted at macrumors.com. But Software Update just gave me a 286 MB file to work with, so that's what I used. I'm guessing the other components of my MBP are relatively updated, hence, the smaller package?
