    Hi,

I bought my macbook in Japan. If I go to other countries and my macbook broke down, will service centers from other countries honor my warranty?

I am still covered with the 1 year limited warranty.

    Thanks.

Yes, at any service centers here like Digital Hub or Digital Walker, Power Mac Centers, IStudio and Switch here in the Philippines.

Also in other countries has apple center/premium resellers.;)

    Thanks Sirs.

By the way, I bought it not from a apple store but from a retailer store. I am a little bit confused, when I bought the macbook, the retailer told me that if a problem arises, they will be the only one to service it.

I checked the warranty status in apple.com and it shows that I have limited warranty until June 2010.

Under APP, I think there is no problem at all.. But for a 1 year limited warranty, is the service tied on the retailer?

Nope, you can go to any Authorized Service Centers. They will accept your unit.

most resellers abroad, lalo na hongkong or japan don't know about the international warranty of Apple products :)

even here, there are sellers or resellers (2nd hand) that don't know about the warranty of apple products. I even encountered a seller in another mac forum saying that the 2 month old ipod touch he is selling isn't covered by warranty because he bought it in the US. :) :)

I hope your seller does not discover Philmug because if he finds out he'll be pissed.

My friend's Macbook charger broke down yesterday. The Macbook was bought in the US last April, as indicated in the receipt. Can he just send the defective charger to PowerMac in Greenbelt and have it replaced for free? Although i understand that the charger is included in the one year warranty, I am not sure though if an authorized Apple Reseller like PowerMac will honor the receipt.

    Hi,

I think it doesn't matter if you have the receipt or not. The serial number of the warranty status of the macbook can be checked online, the service centers might be using the same technology.

If it is still covered by the warranty and it is a factory defect, the authorized service center should replace it for free.
