Mm...the North will be slaughtered. Even with weapons made of dragon glass and the two dragons, there is just no way they can stop the march of the undead. Winterfell is just indefensible.

That's a good mental exercise. If we were commanding the military, where would we fall back?
    • Historically - Moat Cailin, as there's a river to cut them off, and good vantage point over flatlands, which is why Moat Cailin has always been the key passage to/from the Norh
    • Or, failing that, the Trident - three rivers, which wights can't cross, contain them on the opposite bank while you rain fire on them
    • Failing that, jeez, that's a clear run through the Reach to King's Landing
    • Last stand on the mainland: Dorne, the mountains provide protection and the passes are narrow, which is why Dorne was never conquered
    • After that, we have to hop off to islands, or back across the Narrow Sea

Mm....water is no longer a deterrent. The Night King can fly and with his resurrection power, he can create an army in no time. Essos is dead meat. The Narrow Sea is a false wall.

The Army of the Dead will stop short its tracks if Cersei does the Walk of Shame again...;)

Or if Dany does the Fire Walk...

Oh, I forgot. Their dxxks are cold as hell.

And I thought Cersei was loyal to her brother-lover, turns out I was wrong.

Mm....found it strange for Cersei to order his assasination. Whatever for? What will it accomplish? Therein lies the difference between Cersei and Tywin. Tywin always had a purpose or objective before inflicting violence. Cersei appears to be motivated with just pure scorn.

    And why use Sir Bronn?

She will stop at nothing to get the upperhand, no matter if it’s her brother, son or father. She’s a sociopath, pure evil incarnate. She will kill or order a kill on anyone who crosses her.

I know someone like that. And no, it’s not my mother-in-law.

Ok, Aegon Targaryen is the eldest son of the mad king, right? And Aegon is the father of Jon Snow. Danaerys Targaryen is he youngest daughter of the mad king, so that makes her Jon Snow’s aunt?
    Weirdness...

With a show that started off with incestuous siblings, aunt-nephew seems tame. :p

GRRM really has a deep issue with incest.

Incest among the Targaryens is par for the course. Keeps the blood line pure. It's their thing. Remember, this is like the medieval ages in the real world history. Incest isn't as shocking as Catherine The Great (Russia) getting jiggy with a horse. Tywin Lannister married his first cousin, Joanna, just so you know. For real, Caligula did his three sisters hoping to beget an heir. The three all went with it willingly believing that producing an heir would make them a queen'

Back to the show, while the episode was superbly made, there wasn't much surprise as most of the events were shown in trailers. The series analysts (New Rockstars, Screen Rant and Emergency Awesome) were kinda spot on with their predictions too.

I believe incest is deeply rooted in medieval times, and in GOT’s case, in medieval lore, as a way of preserving the royalty bloodline and the wealth within the family. It may have been taboo among lesser mortals and the middle class because of their inferior ancestry and less wealth so what’s the point anyway.
It also appears incestuous relationships are designed to control generational gaps and limit outer specie relationships that may divide the realm.

Yes I know the Europeans and the British engaged in a lot of incest in the past, in fact that is why, many of their royals are somehow related to this day.

In our earth, having relations among relations has a big possibility of producing children with genetic and mental defects. I think the royals finally stopped doing it only because their offspring were coming out either sickly or mentally challenged.

In the GoT world though, it seems the kids come out normal. Joffrey, Tommen and Myrcella were all pretty much normal. Sure Joffrey was a psychopathic monster, but I just assume it's because he takes after his mother.

The greatest king ever, Aegon I, married his two sisters.

Besides, what's more reprehensible, doing it with your brother or doing it with Euron?
