Congrats with your newly purchased Apple product. Question is, could you draw/write notes via a pen while the Ipad is attached to the keyboard?

You can while it’s floating, but it feels like it’s in an awkward angle and it isn’t that stable.

@neldeles shared this https://imgur.com/fYEUlkm and it works fine for handwriting/drawing mode. However, based on the other reviews and my understanding of the product, it would be best to simply detach the iPad and lay it down on a flat surface when you want to go write/draw.

To be honest, it looks awkward if the keyboard is oriented in such a way if you were to draw/write on the Ipad. Thank you anyways.

Thanks @jcsantamarina!! Will wait for it to be locally available. PS nice seeing a fellow keyboard enthusiast in Philmug. I run Zealios on my Ergodox. Hoping to try out Holy Pandas soon.

I choose function over form in this case, pun intended.

Alternative is to purchase this accessory: https://www.elevationlab.com/products/draft-table-for-ipad-pro

But that's another accessory to carry around...an accessory that the Smart/Magic keyboard can accomplish anyway. The angle's very important for me cause of my carpal tunnel syndrome. Allows me to relax my wrists more. :)

Power Mac Center doesn’t have any info yet. I ordered through the PH Apple Online store last April 17. Got stuck in SG for a week and 2 days in HK, it arrived at Manila port last night. Apple estimates delivery between May 8-12. Not sure if this will change because our ECQ is extended. Crossing my fingers to get hold of it as early as May 8!

A lot of people seem to like the Logitech K380.

@caffelatte Keyboard only without case? The best for me in terms of compatibility is the Keychron series. I’ve tried the K1 and K2 and the bluetooth pairing and switching is very smooth.

On another note with the New Apple Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro, I realized that if I wanted to use it without the keyboard I would normally keep it in a case to protect the back from unnecessary dings and scratches. But it seemed like a hassle to do. So, I ordered a Dbrand Skin for it and good to know that it doesn’t affect the connectivity or the magnetism of the iPad to the Keyboard.

Another off topic, hope am not hijacking the thread... am also using the magic keyboard now and I feel the need for some grip when using it without the keyboard. Was your dbrand skin locally sourced? Thanks in advance

For Keyboard case, it’s really hard to choose with what’s out there. So I was really holding back till this was announced.

But if Apple didn’t come out with another keyboard here were my choices:
1.) Logitech - best keyboard feel and good build. But it’s wobbly and heavy.
2.) Brydge - Best looking. Ok keyboard. Pro version has a trackpad but it’s a hit or miss with the smoothness of use. Also, I have some doubts about how that hinge would last
3.) Inateck - Has RGB! Haha.. affordable, but the build quality reflects the price. ($49++ on Amazon)

In anticipation of my Magic Keyboard’s arrival, I ordered the Switcheasy CoverBuddy. But welp, looks like I’ll be getting a dBrand skin, too. I already have one for the Apple Pencil and am pleased with the quality.

nice... I just triggered a Checkout on iPad Air at Apple Online store (not available in Local Authorize reseller), crossing my fingers as the ETA was June 01, 2020. Hope I can get it much earlier.

i opted for the slim folio - price and to keep slim profile.

the logitech isn’tavailable until june/july 2020 and the apple magic keyboard is too expensive and i feel like the touchpad is pointless (in my opinion, use case) because it’s touch screen already.

Random 3rd party keyboard from Lazada. The kids don’t mind.
