Netflix is cool with you sharing your account Don't worry about lending your Netflix password. CEO Reed Hastings says sharing entertainment is a good thing. http://www.cnet.com/news/netflix-is-cool-with-you-sharing-your-account/
Been a Netflix (Verizon FiOS) user since early last year, but my screens have dwindled since Netflix US restructured their plan from 7 down to 4, resulting in only one AppleTV activated for it (my daughter in the US holds the other three). So I was interested to find out how Netflix.ph would perform in terms of content, streaming speed, and interface. I signed up for the 30-day free period and fired it up on my AppleTV. The verdict? The experience is the same, in all of the abovementioned parameters. I thought I'd have to change my region in the AppleTV (set to DC right now) to activate my local subscription. Didn't have to. Netflix local runs fine, side by side with the other DNS-masked apps like CNBC, HBO Go, SHO, CNN US, NBC, FOX, ESPN et al. Do I find Netflix.ph uninspiring? Well, it's TV, for goodness' sake. I never wished for TV to be the wellspring of my daily inspiration. I rely on people, my experience and my chosen roadmap for inspiration.
What I meant with uninspiring is that the current library is boring, not as extensive I thought it should be.
Has anyone in the Philippines tried using their Netflix US or CA account now without a VPN? Any penalties or warning signs?
Ok, thanks. I'll give my measly 3Mbps connection at home a try. It has worked well for iFlix though that's only SD content.
The question is when will the Netflix app be available for streaming boxes and TVs. My current gen Apple TV wont support Ultra HD streaming so I'm hoping my Samsung TV will have it available for download soon.
so yeah, giving this a month to see if i need to downgrade my cable subscription.... hopefully more new movies coming in this month, but my nephews would love this!
tried it in our office which has pldt fibr and wow no lag on hd quality. Now if only it was like this at home...
