Hi. Looking to buy our first MBA. Wife will be using it for work from home setup. So mostly it will just be productivity apps and docs.

Some stores are selling MBA (MQD32PP/A) for 46k to 48k. If my research is correct, thats the 2017 model. This one has i5 while the base MBA 2020 only has i3. Should i even be concerned with that given that she'll only be using it for prod apps mostly? Any feedback regaridng the 2017 MBA?

    Thanks!

If I remember correctly, the 2017 MBA only had 4GB of RAM as its default while not having a retina display whereas the 2020 MBA already has 8GB of RAM as its default along with a retina display. I'd get the 2020 model just based on these two updates in spite of their price difference ranging around 10k at the most if not less.

Plus 1. And the 2020 has the new design keyboard mechanism same as the Pro model.
