thanks to this thread I got to see MQ’s ep 10. Brilliant! Props to McElhenney for matching USD300k raised nice they used iPhones to shoot.
Defending Jacob just ended yesterday. SPOILER ALERT: Man that was hard to watch! Sakit sa puso! damn you Apple, every Friday for 8 weeks we waited for each episode hoping for a different ending!
I liked Defending Jacob too. Easy to understand and follow. Not like crime/investigation thrillers by HBO (ex True Detective, Sharp Objects) A bit unusual to hear Michelle Dockery with an American accent but I think she did fine. Would’ve been different even more if they made her talk in a Boston accent.
I'll miss that series. Always eager to wait til Apple TV seeds a new episode every Friday. Any word on Season 2? Anyway started watching SEE. Getting to like it!
Finally activated my one year free Apple TV+ subscription (just bought a new iDevice). I started by watching "Home" and got hooked on it. I love the cinematography. I just wish they'd show the floor plans or layouts of the homes they are featuring instead of just showing them from different wow-inducing angles... I also just started watching the first episode of "Mythic Quest"...
Am I the only one here who finds the Apple TV+ App extremely cumbersome? Why can’t they just create 2 apps? One for the paid subscription, the other for purchasing movies.
Mm...nothing wrong with it. Apple TV + is in the Apple TV channels. From the home screen, simply scroll down and click atv+ and you are inside the Apple TV + content library. A separate app will be more confusing and the content library of Apple TV + is not big enough to warrant a completely separate app. Sparse pa rin siya. The mother app, Apple TV, helps by aggregating content from other subscription services and keeps track of content that you have not finished watching so you cam conveniently resume watching.
Has anybody experienced their Apple TV app losing it's place in the video you're watching? I've had it happen several times already, where I start picking up watching in the middle of, say, episode 9 of "Mythic Quest", I finish it and proceed to episode 10. Then when in the middle of the episode, I have to reply to a text and briefly leave the app, and when I come back to it, it starts playing at episode 9 again (where you started watching several minutes ago). And the easiest way to go to the next episode is to scrub to the end and click "Next episode" when it comes up. It's actually quite annoying...
It happened to me this afternoon while watching the Beastie Boys film. At about 30 minutes, I quit the app and went to get some water when I came back; it was back to 15 minutes or so.
I read somewhere that the ending in the book was worse. They actually made it open-ended in the TV show for a possible Season 2. If they followed the book’s ending, it would really be all over.
^yup. Was hoping for a totally different ending. But when the trial ended 20mins in of the final episode, I knew it could only mean a whole world of pain for the family. They should have just made it a movie
I haven't seen Defending Jacob but I read the book. If the end followed the book, I am not watching it anymore.
