mm...if this does not work: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT200197 contact the apple resellers like iStore (Glorietta 2). For a fee, they can diagnose the unit. It may still be repairable.
Power supply is the problem of my apple tv 4k... Any suggestion where to buy parts of it? The model of the power supply i need it A1842.
Finally gave in and got myself an Apple TV 4k this weekend. I just love how the zapple ecosystem works especially on the remote as ive already invested on the phone, tablet, watch and Macbook. They work very seamless. But ive yet to discover the other apps in this device.
Sorry for this old question. I wanted to try vpn thru Apple TV. However, i wanted to download Hulu from the appstore but I just see the Ph store. How do i change the country in the tv to download it? thanks in advance
Mm...TV OS: under general and region. If Hulu is still hidden, activate your VPN like Getflix (set up the DNS to recommended). Restart your Apple TV under settings, systems, restart.
I cant play 4k hdr movies/ shows on amazon prime using my apple tv 4k... shows like jack ryan, the boys, homecoming... but when i played those on my built in smart tv app they all play in 4k hdr.. but i dont have a problem on netflix and apple tv+..
Is it still okay to buy the Apple TV 4K now? Or just wait it over perhaps there is a newer version coming? I have the HD version and the feeling of not maximising my 4K Smart TV is haunting me. Hehe. I just use my Apple TV HD solely for MLB and NBA league pass streaming since Samsung TV don't have a native app for both. Other apps like Netflix, Apple TV+, and etc, I go straight to the TV's native apps.
i always look forward to apps being compatible with the apple tv ; the ease of use of the apple TV remote makes it all worth it. much easier to use than the standard remote for any smart TV in the market. I also find the apple TV interface friendly
mm...still not a lot of 4K content yet and therefore, it should not be used to justify the jump to 4K streamers. However, it is safe to invest in Apple 4K ATV since the next upgrade, I think, is 8K and, as with 4K, it will take quite a number of years before that becomes a standard (for both hardware and content). Major content provider Disney announced plans that it will no longer provide 4K releases (physical media) for all its movies. That’s a bummer.
My ATV 4K's LAN port conked out after a lightning storm a few days ago. Hope this is covered under warranty.
The Apple TV 4K can now use the HomePod as the default speaker after the latest update. Apple calls it Home Theater mode. Apps like Sling TV now uses the HomePod as the audio output device. Before the update the app defaults to the TV's speakers.
Lots of Apple TV HD units going for less than retail nowadays. Would you recommend this or should I still pony up for the 4K version? Also, does the Apple TV app on my Samsung Smart TV do the exact same thing? It supports Airplay 2 and HDR but doesn't say anything about Dolby Vision.
Mm...stick with the less expensive ATV HD since the vast majority of streaming content are in HD. As for TV-based Apple TV, there is no difference in quality. If your smart TV already has ATV, there is no need for a separate streaming box. But do note that the user interface of the ATV box is superior.
There are talks and rumors of New Apple TV to be released soon. So it will have newer hardware and better feature. I say, just wait it out until that new unit come. Two things will happen: 1. You might like the newer ATV and buy that instead. Saves you money now. 2. You might decide, after the new ATV comes out, that you still want the previous generation ATV since it checks all the boxes of your wants and needs. Then for certain the previous gen ATV will get another discount and you will be able to buy it for cheaper. Saves you money by then
im planning to use my apple tv 4k for home hub.. so it means it will be in stand by or sleep mode... does the apple tv built on stand by mode for 24/7?
It doesn't have an on/off sleep and you can only put it in sleep mode. So yeah, it's always on standby mode.
