Aukey, Anker, Belkin, Griffin, Mophie, and other brands waited for the iPhone to support Qi charging before coming up with their products. The lesser known brands might have had them before, we just didn't notice.
Will wait for a version the supports fast charging... The first Lightning-based wireless Qi charger is here | The Verge
Using this for my iPhone X. Comes with Type C cable and I'm using my iPad adapter. Full Charged my phone about 3hrs without getting the phone warm. Bought it 800php
I think no one will know for sure until its been a few months, wear and tear on the battery is a slow process, its a question of whether you are gonna risk your 60-70k phone on buying these cheap chargers/powerbanks... personally when it comes to power-related stuff i go with reliable ones that pass safety tests
Awei is famous in china/hk they have tons or wires and chargers. as for the other brands not sure though
i would be wary of no-name brands if Qi was an experimental technology, but i think at this stage though the Qi standard may be new to us iPhone users, it's already been available for Androids for quite some time now. as long as Apple made their tech compliant with the Qi standard then there should be less risk. i cannot speak for the non-Qi, battery-related internals of the powerbank though, since many manufacturers try and cut costs on components related to safety. P.S. my Awei P98K just arrived today haha. one of the things i hate the most when charging with powerbanks is the messy cable. this should solve it at least for my iPhone X.
Saw this on The Verge. https://www.kickstarter.com/project...qi-wireless-charger-iphon?ref=profile_created
Mm...about the cheap qi chargers, be very careful. Oh you know.....it may BURN down your house and iPhone. Just because they say that they use Qi standard, it doesn't mean squat. If you care about product safety, go for Qi certified products (registered with the Wireless Power Consortium): https://www.wirelesspowerconsortium.com/certified/ You've already spent 60k on your iPhone X. What is a few more thousand for a quality and safe to use Qi charger?? Don't be.... EDIT : the Awei P98K is not Qi Certified. Same with Romoss and Baseus, as per database check. Some certified include Belkin, Samsung and Anker.
Got myself a Momax Qpad wireless charger from Digital Walker last night. Contrary to reviews that wireless chargers charge slower than wired accessories, my experience so far in charging time for my iPhone 8 is similar to using a lightning connector to an Apple 5W usb power adapter. So far so good.
i've been using the Samsung Fast Wireless Charger that has been on sale for $25 a few months ago on Amazon - so far so good. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075V234VL/ super convenient, and charging speed is inconsequential as i only use it for overnight charging. for regular mid-day charging i just use my multiport aukey charger for "semi-fast" 12watt charging.
Free wireless charger for every purchase of 3 6-packs of Heineken Beer in bottle @ 274.75 per 6-pack It's a generic charger, white in color but has the Heineken logo on it which makes it a bit look cool. it also comes with a pair of those wireless charging receivers, one for Android (micro-USB) and the other for Apple devices (lightning connector). I don't expect this to last long, but at least I have an extra wireless charging pad to use at home. works on my X. Not bad really, specially if it's free I'll edit this post and attach pics as soon as I can
