    Hi PhilMug!

This is my first post ever hahaha I need some help on the legitimacy of AJT and is it safe to use credit card payment in Greenhills stores? My family is very skeptical of buying phones in Greenhills. We are going to use credit card installment, which AJT offers, but we're scared of giving our credit card info hahaha :(( thank you!

Mm...I ve only used cash when dealing with AJT and other Ghills vendors. If you even have an iota of doubt, logic dictates this: do not use your credit card. It is that simple. It applies to AJT or any other vendor. Just do cash.

Most credit card companies now have enhanced security measures, from OTP (pre-transaction) to SMS alerts (post transaction). Some credit cards are also lockable via the bank’s app .

I ve had ZERO issues buying my gadgets from the Ghills gray market. My personal experience stretches back to my Nokia days. I ve been darn lucky.

Then don’t. Personal security over purchasing convenience is not quid pro quo. Always, always use protection ;) Pay in cash. Especially in GH stalls and stores.

If you are skeptical on using your credit card then walk away. For me, I will buy an iPhone in authorized sellers for the correct models that will work here and probably Apple Watches and iPads. The price may seem high but you are buying from an establishment that pays correct taxes and units are not smuggled. What will I buy in Greenhills? Accessories.

    They dont charge 12% VAT.

If you're the sort that rails against corruption then you may want to think before buying.

their credit transaction isnt the same as cash, they do add-on for straight, and if you do installment more so. It just comes out a little cheaper than from the legit channels.

their value is for me mainly is for none-main stream or new introduce gadgets as they have means of getting them fast.

Always buy from legit resellers. They pay taxes, and have a legit warranty. You are paying for peace of mind. BTB and iStudio offer 24 month 0% interest.

And oh, don't ever ever believe when they say free one year "SERVICE" warranty. That is just plain BS. Usual warranty claim is damaged parts so it simply means, NO warranty.

There’s a line of people in AJT tonight. Beats me what they were buying. But business looks good so hurrah to them. Just passed by to visit my local suki to buy another hard case cover for the AW3 of my wife.

Bought my 2018 iPad Pro from them and had no complains so I can vouch from them. Their units seem to be sourced elsewhere but can't beat the prices.

all items from AJT are legit. check the warranty first thru Apple.com and check if the model number for iPhones | Watch can be service here in the Philippines; units are not smuggled by the owner; he orders directly to HK suppliers.

Mm...okay I ve been holding back but I had a really bad experience with AJT. The unit was an iPhone and this incident happened in 2018.

I went to their store to buy a reserved iPhone (bnew). It has been my SOP to check the unit (using an extensive checklist) to make sure the unit was fine BEFORE paying. After going through my personal checklist, I handed my money to one of their employees and she issued a receipt. I stayed for awhile as I was restoring my iCloud data using my mobile data connection. After restoring, I packed up my new iPhone and exited the store. Then, suddenly another employee of theirs accosted me and asked if I already paid for the unit. So ,we returned to their store. I told them that I already paid and I presented their receipt. I pointed to the employee who received my money. To my shock, SHE DENIED receiving my cash. The owner (I m not sure if she is the owner) started reviewing their CCTV footage (recorder was at the back of their store). It took awhile but we finally got to the part of the recording CLEARLY showing me handing my cash to that female employee. The “owner” confronted that employee and without batting an eyelash she said pasensiya na. Sorry po. Sonna bitch...my blood was boiling but I held my tongue and left the store.

Moral for me? Mag ingat and make sure to count the money in the presence of at least 2 employees.

This was my first bad experience dealing with dozens of vendors in Ghills since my Nokia days.

I don ‘t blame AJT management and will continue to patronize AJT. Yup, they are legit. Every business establishment has a bad apple. I hope they fired that employee.

My theory is matanda na ako and makalimutin and she saw a chance to victimize me out of my hard- earned Php70K.
