I updated my phone 2 weeks ago to iOS 12.1.1 and coincidentally I haven’t experienced my earpiece acting out weirdly im hoping it would stay like that forever haha
Experienced the first inactivity #chargegate as they say so, in my 10S. Had to disconnect the charger to charge and open the screen. On IOS 12.1.1
Yes me too. The signal is LTE but no connectivity. Had to restart the XS. Wifi is weak too. I regret buying a 10s. Once cellular drops, i can’t make any call or send an sms.
My problem really is that I've become accustomed to its wide screen that whenever I looked at other iPhones before the XS Max I cringe in horror... Oh, btw, I haven't updated to the latest, yet...
Mm..no issue with my Xs Max on 12.1.2. Tested both Globe and Smart LTE connections. No problem either with Wifi at home. But to be prudent, wait for feedback. Searched the web, 12.1.2 was supposed to fix connectivity problems related to 12.1.1.
Mm...yeah forgot about that “solution.” It was widely posted back when the new iPhones were first sold.
Upgraded to 12.1.2..at first i thought it made the issue worse because i cant connect to lte anymore,I did a network reset and after everything was resolved.my lte connectivity now works just fine.great update!!
Mm...since getting the Xs Max last Sept., I ve had 2 incidents of frozen Xs Max. It won’t wake up. Had to do a hard reset: volume up, volume down and hold the side button until the Apple logo appears (takes around 30 seconds or longer). Most probably a software glitch. Other than that, no issues.
I have this issue also, not sure if it's the same root cause. AFAIR I experienced this twice and it both happened during charging when I try to wake up the screen (tap to wake, hardware buttons). After a couple of seconds it came back, it did like a spring reboot. Most likely a software glitch.
Just had this issue with my XS but in my case, the screen remained black even if after holding the volume up + power buttons for nearly a minute already. I also tried plugging it and then re-attempting the hard reset after a few minutes. Didn't work din. Tapos I found this YouTube video that fixed it on the first try: Basically the video said to press the following in sequence: volume up > volume down > power button (hold until Apple logo appears) Worked like magic.
^ My XS froze as well last Friday. It just went black and unresponsive. I thought that the battery was drained since I left the office with a 30% charge. I waited to get home since I don't know the sequence for soft reset, but afterdoingso, it went back to normal. What's weird is, my number, when called, is still ringing yet the phone is unresponsive.
First time to experience a frozen black screen as-well. Plugged my Max in its stock charger, then the screen wont turn on... just a blank black screen. Tried to press some buttons and it woke up by itself after a couple of mins. I didn't force a reset. Hoping for a software update fix.
Same with me! I tried calling my phone as well but the phone was unresponsive even if it was ringing. Now I do the sequence to restart the phone since it's much easier than holding both the power button and the volume down keys.
Anyone who has issues with their network signal? Globe platinum signal is intermittently lost and phone shows no network however if I turn it off then on again, there's a signal. Putting it on airplane mode doesn't work by the way so it's a big hassle turning the phone off and on again just to get a signal.
Are you using an old SIM? I have experienced this same situation before and replacing the SIM resolved the problem.
