One of the few times we'll see a TNT to SMB trade in the PBA... Terrence Romeo for Anthony Semerad and Brian Heruela + 2021 first round pick Seven TNT KaTropa players declare they want Terrence Romeo out | Inquirer.net
I don't understand why he would do it so late in the game when the intensity and tension were hot and insist later on he didn't mean no harm to any player...ano ka baliw? Pang-eleksyon lang daw ang pagpasok niya. Police say the person kept on saying he thought he was doing something good and that the players would respond to his running into the court. The PBA, meanwhile, said this is the first time a fan, or any person for that matter, had entered or interfered with a game ever. Civil damages are to being angled against him and SMB is also filing criminal charges of their own, courtesy of Jun Mar Fajardo, for slight physical injuries. He stands accused of alarm and scandal now.
Terrence Romeo wins his first championship...now he doesn’t have to prove anything else...congratulations San Miguel!
what a series, what a game 7! people who say it was rigged are just insulting the players who gave their best to try to win it for their team. June Mar was big literally and figuratively in Game 7. 31 boards, could have easily been 35 if he was not fouled a few times near the end. Magnolia's guards kept them in the series but when it matters most Jalalon and Lee (well blame Chito for not having a timeout) came up short.
^The referee who missed the low blow was also suspended for 10 games. If there was a call made, Jones would've been assessed a Flagrant 2 and ejected.
NBA players Andrew Bogut, Isaiah Thomas react to Calvin Abueva’s ‘clothesline’ of Terrence Jones | Fox Sports
not to be outdone by the NBA, PBA approved a trade sending Stanley Pringles to Ginebra for Kevin Ferrer, Sol Mercado and Jervy Cruz.
And I am happy that Sol, Kevin, and Jervy contributed in their blowout win last Saturday. LA and Stan. What a backcourt tandem.
what a Finals thus far between TNT and San Miguel. Romeo is one win away from a sweet revenge on his former team. I don't understand why TNT will not rest Jones to make him fresher down the line and i don't get it why they keep going Iso-ball during crunch time than keep doing what they do best by doing those drive and kick or pick and pop plays. TNT is the superior team here mainly because of Terrence Jones and Troy Rosario playing out of his mind but their coaching have shot them in the foot repeatedly.
That 16-point comeback by SMB just broke TNT’s desire to win and take a 3-2 lead. Now their backs are on the wall and they have to do more in Game 6 to tie the series or give San Miguel the title that was almost theirs after that Game 1 win. Some are likening TNT to Toronto while SMB is Golden State, and if that story sticks, TNT would turn around and win the next two games and claim the title. We’ll see if Terrence comes up big next game and puts aside any animosity against Arwind and his stupid racist gesture.
Arwind should just talk with the management and impose a ban on himself in game 6. i know game 6 is crucial but his actions were bigger than the game and him banning himself even for just a game would show remorse and acceptance that what he did was larger than the game.
I agree... I was surprised that the PBA did not suspend him. Either Santos or the SMB Management should decide that he's done for the series.
He wasn't even remorseful for the act itself - he was remorseful that there was a backlash. Honestly, I think his actions were more out of ignorance rather than hatred, and I'm sure he didn't mean any harm. Unfortunately for him, we live in a Politically-Correcting, Woke world wherein racism is a big issue especially for African-Americans.
i agree his actions is more out of ignorance rather than hatred. so to call arwind santos a racists is sort of kinda missing the real point that it is more about his ignorance. we live in a country where we are proud to say or write about that we are kayumanggi but indulge in whitening soap, lotion etc. i don't condone arwind's action and any form of racism but i am more troubled about our ignorance as a nation than being a racists.
