Ciao a tutti! Been using macbook for about 9 months now. Firefox started acting up some months ago. It just either hangs or quits unexpectedly, so I had to either force quit it, or just restart it all together. Sometimes it prompts me to submit a report to apple, but it fails on its own to send anyway, saying that there's a network problem or something. Can't really say in which sites it usually happens, coz i think it just happens randomly. Sometimes it happens when i get directed to download sites like rapidshare or blogs with links to it, or when i start 3rd party hosted applications. I used to just ignore it, but I feel its happening more often these days and its getting to be a bit annoying. I also feel that my apps now take longer to load. Word, powerpoint and excel in particular seem to take a few seconds longer to start than before. Is this related to what's happening to my Firefox? Does this mean that my MB is slowing down? I do use my MB a lot, but only for the usual stuff -- surfing, wordprocessing, chatting, photos - nothing "major" or more hi tech ... If it is, how could I optimize its performance as its gets older and more stuffed with files?
Me again .. Tried updating firefox using software update; got this message saying: AUS: Update XML File Malformed (200) It then directed me to a link that should allow me to install firefox manually. Will try that now. Is this malformed xml file also the reason why evertime i check for software updates, the updater always detects a network error. The updater usually says this even when there seems to be no prob at all with my network, as I can surf without prob, and the network diagnostics dont detect any. Pls help. Grazie
