ilife 08

    i'm going to install iLife 08 should i delete my old iLife first? can someone give me the step by step, thanks in advance.

    i think it will just automatically overwrite the the older version. in my case i just installed directly the ilife08 without deleting the ilife06 and i found no problem at all. after installation, you can go to the apple website to download the older version of imovie (imovieHD), its free for ilife08 users just in case you will not be satisfied with the performance and settings of the new imovie in ilife08.

    Just make sure you do a software update after upgrading to iLife 08. Some stuff in the original iLife 08 installation do not work smoothly.

    i cant seem to drag pictures into i photo thats werid.

    I didn't even have to download the old iMovie, the previously installed version was just placed in an "iMovie (previous version)" folder.

    I just ran the installer and it upgraded the whole system. Likewise the iMovie 07 is placed in a separate folder in the Applications directory.

    It will just say upgrade your system when you have an old version of iLife.

    it's iMovie '06 not '07. Apple did not release iLife '07 as far as I know.

    Ooops. Yes. I meant iMovie 06 is placed in a new folder.

    And trust me if you did use iMovie 06, you'll probably want that app still.
