Answering my own question. I found out that Amazon Prime is detecting my Getflix DNS and so it's giving an error code. The way around it, is to revert to the google DNS, install the App, then log in. Anyway, a new problem has come up. I am able to stream 4k content from iTunes movies last week. Now, it only streams below HD. On my other setup, the Apple TV 4k there streams just fine. I had a feeling it was the unit, so I tested Netflix and Amazon Prime 4k, and they streamed just fine. I reset the unit and the problem is still there. Suggestions?
Yup, it was the HDMI cable. I would have thought the connection speed would still be the same even with a slow HDMI cable. It turns out, it matches the HDMI capacity?
Mm... There’s a check cable function under settings to ensure the the hdmi will work. In other words, maarte si Apple TV. This is what I use for TV and projector. Sturdy, not too expensive and checkboxes all the current HDMI standards (most important is HDCP 2.2):
If you don't mind me asking, how do you set it up such that not all devices access the VPN? Do you have a separate router setup apart from the one supplied by the ISP?
Mm....Fiber router with wifi on —> VPN on. Luma whole home wifi (connected to Fiber router via ethernet) —-> No VPN. So, I can choose which wifi to use at will.. With VPN (around 30 to 50 Mbps stable)/ Without VPN (around 85 to 95 Mbps stable). Apple TVs are always connected to Fiber (to access all USA streamimg services except Youtube TV which Getflix does not support yet; I ve reached out to Getflix support and have received reply that they are still working on it). Smart TVs are connected to Luma whole home (to access local streaming services). I rarely use it but keep the accounts active as backup. All other computing devices connected to Luma, including gaming PC. All DAPs/streaming music server like my Cocktail X40 connected to Fiber to access Tidal.com.
Same here, I tried it using the Netflix in Apple TV and got that email too, but if I play it using the native Netflix in the LG WebOS it works fine
Mm... Upgrading my Apple TV room with the Optoma UHD 65 4K HDR (2160p) DLP projector, paired with Apple TV 4K and a 7.1.2 audio system (Atmos). Very happy and a step up from my Optoma HD26 DLP (1080p native) projector paired with the Apple TV 3rd gen 1080p, and a huge upgrade from my original (first) projector, the Panasonic AE2000 3D LCD projector (720p) bought in 2008 and paired with the original Apple TV 720p, both still working. The UHD 65 is big and heavy and I had to handcarry it (from HK) in a Cabin Max backpack, ordered through Amazon since standard cabin luggage is too small. Got it through airport customs with no tong. Heavy at 10 kgs....with athritic joints. I m getting too old for this shit. Final upgrade: dump my old Draper projector screen (2008) with a new one with high-gain (thinking + 1.2 to 1.3 ) for even better color contrast and luminance (enhances light reflectivity). It does make a huge difference (saw it during audition at HiviHK in Wanchai). It is like watching OLED TV......but much bigger.
It's been a while since I last used my Apple TV. I just find my Roku Streaming Stick Plus much easier to use at the moment. Maybe I'll give the Apple TV one more try this weekend...
Mm...my 3 year old Apple TV room (version 2.0) which I designed, and directly supervised the skilled laborers. Saved me a ton of moolah by bypassing the home theatre specialist builders like Sound N Vision. Some of the gears and materials from my first Apple TV room (circa 2008) I re-used (reuse, reduce, recycle). I also personally selected and bought all the construction materials and finishing materials like carpeting and lighting fixtures. Fun and satisfying project at home. The heart of the room. While the Apple TV is the brains. Works together perfectly. I guess I could retrofit the lighting etc. with smart devices like Alexa but I chose not to. Prefer remotes. The main lighting and ambient lighting are connected to this simple remote-controlled device (assignable). As for content (it’s the content, stupid!), I started with DVDs (Desperate Housewives....lol!), ripped through my first-gen MacBook Air through Handbrake (took forever to process) and synced to the first- gen Apple TV or iTunes movies (standard def). Graduated to 1080p Apple TV 3rd gen/HD from iTunes. Now, streaming 4K content from many sources through ATV 4K and, this year, adding 4K/UHD player and 4K blu-ray discs (all the goodies including Atmos and HDR). Dream project: For Apple TV room version 3.0, I m planning a real home theater (300” screen) with a one bedroom house built around it (which is how it should be). Everything I learnt (mistakes and all), I will apply. Also, will function as my headphone temple. Sana.......my neighbor refuses to sell the adjacent property. All the specs are in my head. ^Damn I envy you. Tha passion that came with this is incredible. And expensive, of course. All because of the ATV haha! Frankly I have never liked the confines of a theater to watch movies, even if I wanted to because 1) it lulls me to sleep as soon as it gets dark, 2) too much comfort and snacks lulls me to number 1, and 3) it hurts my eardrums. For someone who has endured the kind of noise from explosions and gunfire throughout his life, that kind of decibel rating is likely to contribute to semi-permanent hearing loss. One reason I opt to watch in some quiet room but with toned down auditory perception.

Will rectify....and yes, it bothers me a bit, specially during quiet scenes. ——————— During the construction of my first ATV room in 2008, I ordered several classic movie posters like Gone with the Wind through eBay (cinema quality print fit for display) and found a source for a movie poster light box. The posters were shipped via snail mail. Got it 6 months later (way to go Philpost). Never got around to finishing that. Posters are still with me. It is a good hobby and the inspiration was the Apple TV. It just clicked since I ve always been a movie buff. I remember when I was in grade school when Star Wars finally debuted in our province, I literally climbed over the bakod and rode a jeepney to the city, to be among the first to watch it in 1977 or was it 1978?. Good thing the strict nuns did not catch me.

How to know if the video im currently streaming in netflix or amazon prime is already in 4k in apple tv? Cause unlike my samsung smart tv, when i stream a certain video, when you press info it will indicate there if what im streaming is 720,1080. 2160...
